Itinerary
Day 1
Madrid, Cordoba & Seville
Madrid - Cordoba - Seville. Today, we depart from our established hotel in Madrid, journeying through the heart of La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote. Along the way, we’ll pass the iconic site of Puerto Lapice. As we cross the natural border of “Despenaperros,” we’ll enter Andalusia, a region steeped in history and heritage from its glorious past.
Our first stop is Cordoba, where we’ll take an impressive tour of the grand Mosque. We’ll also stroll through the narrow, winding streets of the Jewish Quarter, soaking in the rich atmosphere of this historic city. Afterward, a scenic two-hour drive will bring us to Seville, where we’ll check into our hotel, ready to discover the city’s many treasures.
Please Note: This is a bi-lingual, large group coach tour, where a majority of travellers may be Spanish speaking. If this is the case, then English may be the second language. For groups of 12 or more the tour is escorted by a bilingual (Spanish & English speaking) tour leader/escort. They will provide explanations about the itinerary, coordinate accommodation services, and ensure the smooth running of the tour, making your trip an enjoyable experience. When the group size is less than 12, this service may be provided by the driver. There will be experienced bi-lingual local guides for included city sightseeing.
Day 2
Seville Day tour
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a panoramic city tour of Seville, starting with the magnificent Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter's in Rome. We’ll then explore the enchanting Santa Cruz quarter, a vibrant area that inspired the story of “Carmen” and where the legendary myth of “Don Juan” took shape. Continuing our journey, we’ll visit the serene Maria Luisa Park and the stunning Plaza de España, where history and beauty collide.
In the afternoon, we return to our hotel, where you’ll have time at leisure to wander through the city, discovering its exclusive views and flavours, and soaking up the energy and light that fill this captivating city. Alternatively, you can choose to enjoy an optional Flamenco show to round off the day.
Day 3
Seville to Granada
Seville - Granada. Today, we drive east along the Caliphate Road, making our way through the heart of Andalusia. As we travel, we pass fields of endless olive trees, a picturesque sight on our journey to Granada, a city renowned for its incredible monumental beauty and rich history. Once the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms until 1492, Granada’s charm is undeniable. We’ll visit the world-famous Alhambra complex and the stunning Generalife Gardens, whose beauty and serenity have inspired writers like Washington Irving in his “Tales of the Alhambra.”
After a day of exploration, we check into our hotel. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to attend an optional Flamenco Zambra show and experience the passionate rhythms of Andalusia.
Day 4
Exploring Granda
Today, after breakfast, you will have the entire day to enjoy the captivating city of Granada. More than just the Alhambra, Granada’s rich Muslim heritage weaves through every corner, blending seamlessly with its Christian traditions to create a city like no other. You’ll have the chance to explore at your own pace, discovering the unique atmosphere and history that fill this stunning destination.
Day 5
Granada to Toledo & Madrid
After our final breakfast at the hotel, we drive northward towards the skies of Castilla, where the impressive Imperial city of Toledo rises, surrounded by the Tagus River. A UNESCO World Heritage City, Toledo is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of Christian, Moorish, and Jewish cultures throughout history. As we explore, we’ll immerse ourselves in the Spanish art, history, and spirituality that define this remarkable city, where every street feels like a step back in time. A short guided tour will lead us through the narrow, winding streets of the historic old town. Following our visit, we continue our journey back to Madrid.
Please note: Following client feedback, this tour will not visit Toledo from April 2026 onwards. Departures will instead return to Madrid earlier in the day, with more free time for you to explore the Spanish capital.
Please note: Airport transfers are not included on this tour. You will be dropped back at a central Madrid hotel. The exact location can be confirmed on request after your booking, as drop off location varies by departure. You will need to make your own way to the airport or to your independently booked accommodation tonight.
