Exploring Adventure Holidays

On the whole, accommodation, transportation on the tour, the guide, and some meals will all be included. With exploring tours, some entrance fees will also be covered but you may have to pay for some of the optional extras. 

What is and isn't included will all be listed in the tour brochure, or you can speak to our team. They can also advise how much extra cash you may need so you can budget accordingly. 

One of the things that travellers love most about these adventures is the people they meet. The beauty of travelling with a group is that you have a great social atmosphere and great company. 

The majority of our tours have no age restrictions so you will be with a wide range of travellers but some also have an upper age limit so if you are looking to travel with a similar age group, look out for those. 

On average you will be in a group of about 12 people. You can find the maximum group size on the tour page, in the details section.

Over 60% of our customers are solo travellers so you will be in good hands. Usually, the group is made up of solo travellers, couples and groups. 

For many tours, there are no single supplements which mean you don’t have to pay more if you are travelling solo. You will be paired with a fellow traveller of the same sex in accommodation throughout the trip. If you would like to have your own room you can pay a bit more, just let us know when you come to book. 

Some trips will have a compulsory single supplement and we will ensure this is made clear before you book.

We try and strike a good balance between organised activities and excursions and free time for relaxing or independent exploring. Plus if there is anything you want to opt-out of, that’s no problem, just let the guide know. 

The itinerary listed will give you a good idea of what to expect each day. Some are non-stop, full of adventure throughout, so if that’s not what you are looking for, double-check with our team before booking. 

 A great way to mix a bit more relaxation into the busier trips is to add a few days on the end to relax - we can often organise this for you.

This is a really important part of many of the tours, and a priority for many travellers. Many of the exploring tours are focused around food and others include tastings of local cuisine and cooking classes as optional activities. 

The number of meals included will vary from tour to tour but we always try and use local, authentic restaurants where we can. 

Your guide will also be able to suggest some great restaurants for the nights that meals aren’t included as well as bars in the local area.
