Getting to almost any city in Europe has never been easier. You can fly pretty much anywhere with a low cost carrier from most airports and the flight times are of course short. 

There are of course many low cost carriers and even national carriers running short routes throughout Europe. If you're coming form outside Europe then you'll easily be able to fly into a major city and go from there.

If you're travelling from the US then you can easily fly into any major European capital and go from there.

Europe is busy in the summer months of July and August. You can expect temperatures to be very hot, often reaching mid 30s. All the restaurants will be open and busy so it’s really up to what you prefer and the activities you wish to do - bear in mind that the beaches and restaurants will be much busier and prices might be hiked up too.

Temperatures are a bit lower in May and September, and because it’s not during school summer holidays, there are less tourists during this time. Keep in mind though that since it’s not “peak season”, some restaurants and shops might be closed. 

If you’re a UK or EU citizen then you do not (at the time of writing) require a Visa to enter most European countries for up to 90 days, this is known as a visa exemption. If you’re a US citizen then you also don’t need a visa but both nationalities need a valid passport and a return ticket. You may need to show your return ticket upon arrival and / or complete a landing card upon arrival. UK citizens if you’re staying longer than 90 days then you’ll need to apply for a visa before travelling. If you overstay you may be fined and / or detained so it’s not worth the risk!

The local currency Europe is the Euro but worth nothing that the UK still runs on the GBP (£).

ATMs are widely available, even on the islands, but most restaurants and shops accept credit cards. 

European cities and Europe in general is safe but of course you need to take a common sense approach and abide by local laws. Your guide is there to make sure you avoid any mishaps!

Some vaccinations may be required pending where you are going, when and what you’re doing. Standard and correct advice is to check with your GP before travelling as they’ll have the up to date information.

Of course, goes without saying we’d advise taking out travel insurance before travelling.
