At The Adventure People, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional travel experiences across the globe. As our international footprint continues to grow, so does the need for strong financial and operational support. We’re looking for a highly capable and organised Accounts Executive to join our team at our Brixton office to help us stay on top of our finances and keep our suppliers paid on time.
Role Overview
You’ll play a pivotal role in our finance operations, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, supplier payments, reconciliations, and supporting our finance partners. You’ll work closely with our fractional CFO and our accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across financial functions. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and enjoys working with systems and numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Process and schedule payments to suppliers across various currencies and regions
Bank and Account Reconciliation: Regular reconciliation of bank, credit card, and payment accounts in Xero
Currency Management: Assist with multi-currency transactions and ensure correct exchange rates and FX handling
Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for internal reporting and compliance
Collaboration: Liaise with our fractional CFO and external accountants to support month-end close, tax filings, and other reporting needs
Process Improvement: Help refine finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency or accuracy
Key Requirements
Bookkeeping Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or finance admin role
Tech Proficiency:
Xero: Strong working knowledge is essential
Excel: Advanced Excel skills, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliation tools
Attention to Detail: Accuracy and diligence are essential in handling multi-currency transactions and reconciliations
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Organised and Self-Motivated: Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload across three days
Desirable Attributes
Experience working with international suppliers and multi-currency accounting
Prior experience in travel, hospitality, or consumer services sectors
Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack)

Experience RequirementsWe're looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years sales experience utilising chat, phone and email.
We’d prefer someone with experience in the adventure / activity / long haul sector but it’s not essential. We will consider candidates with experience from other travel sectors.

We want a motivated, upbeat and ambitious person, looking to grow your career alongside the founders of an exciting start-up. You'll get your hands dirty with more than just coding so be prepared to help create the development culture and processes all the way from design decisions and coding standards through to QA and DevOps.
The role will mainly involve developing API’s and applications to support our operations on the website and the data management behind the scenes.

We are looking for a talented digital marketing manager to take ownership of our digital marketing strategy as we accelerate our growth.
The core responsibility of the role is customer acquisition through paid and non paid channels with specific focus on the optimisation of search engine activity.
Our HQ is in Brixton but we employ a flexible working policy whereby the choice of location for work is given to the employee with some time required in the office (usually one day per week).
The Adventure People is a tech driven travel ecommerce site. Established in 2017, selected by London& Partners in 2019 as one of London’s fastest growing businesses, The Adventure People is shaking up the experience based holiday space and has grown throughout the pandemic, doubling in size since 2019. Our next steps are to scale up and internationalise.

The Purpose and Responsibility:
