Greenland Tours
Greenland is a modern day outpost and the worlds largest island (it's true!). An Icey wilderness with the midnight sun and norther lights to boot. An ice sheet stretches from coast to coast and covers 80% of the land at depths up to 3 kilometers. Greenland is home to long wild trekking adventures, a huge variety of wildlife both on land and sea bound. So far as holidays go, this is a once in a lifetime. No experience will compare, Greenland is a standalone adventure for those who dare.
Getting There
Usually one can fly into Kangerlussuaq, the main international airport lying just inside the polar circle. Rather than go direct many people fly via Iceland which has frequent flights. You could also travel by boat....
Wildlife
A wildlife lovers heaven. From soaring sea eagles to polar bears to a huge variety of sea life including numerous whales. Also on show are plenty of reindeer and Walruses should you dare to get anywhere near them ( we recommend not to !). Also try spotting the arctic fox and hare, two of the more common but elusive species on this magnificent island.
Money
Greenland is actually within Danish territory and so the currency is the Danish Krone.
Is Greenland Safe?
The short answer is yes, as safe as anywhere else. Greenland has very low crime rates (and a low population of only 56,000). There are no 'rough' areas and very little if any ill-felling towards tourists. Of course, just like anywhere else it is your responsibility to follow the law and local culture.
