Inca Trail Hiking
Peru with its beautiful and diverse nature makes it the perfect destination for an adventure holiday. Although the country is considered a tropical country with its close proximity to the warm Niño current, the mountainous peak has its own climate, making it a very popular and varied destination for trekking.
Getting There
There are some direct flights to Lima, Peru from the UK (although most options require a layover) and if you’re flying to Cusco you will need to stop somewhere along the way. In total the journey takes around 16-22 hours. The fare is usually around £600-1200 at the time of writing and it’s definitely worth booking far in advance.
Peru is a large country, nearly 2,700 km from end to end and the country also largely consists of jungle. Keep this in mind if you’re planning to go to several destinations in the same trip. Some places are only sensibly reached by plane.
