Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Hanoi
Your Vietnam journey commences upon arrival in Hanoi. Our private driver will greet you at the airport, displaying a sign with your name for easy identification.
You’ll then be transported to your centrally located accommodation, perfectly situated near the captivating Old Quarter. From here, you have the freedom to explore the vibrant city at your leisure or simply unwind at your hotel after your flight.
Day 2
Explore Hanoi
Your cultural exploration of Hanoi begins with a pick-up from your hotel by our tour guide and driver. Our first destination is Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. This serene Buddhist sanctuary, built in the 6th century, stands as Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, embodying Vietnam’s rich spiritual traditions.
Next, we head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can pay respects to Vietnam’s esteemed leader, Uncle Ho. Wander through the peaceful gardens and take a glimpse of his preserved body, alongside the houses where he resided and worked from 1954 to 1969. We also visit the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy.
Please note: The mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, though photography and exploration of the area remain possible. Annual maintenance closes the mausoleum from 15th June to 15th August. Modest dress, covering shoulders and knees, is required at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas.
Our journey continues at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, where we explore the diverse cultures of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. On Mondays, this visit is replaced with the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, highlighting women's vital contributions to the country's history.
At midday, we enjoy a delightful lunch at our restaurant, where you can indulge in authentic Vietnamese dishes, with vegetarian options available. Post-lunch, we visit the Temple of Literature, established in 1070 as Vietnam’s first university.
Our next stop is Hoa Lo Prison, built by the French between 1886 and 1901 as part of French Indochina. Known to the French as Maison Centrale and later infamous as “A Hell on Earth,” the prison now serves as a museum, providing insight into Vietnam’s struggle against colonial rule.
