Summary

Ready for the ultimate Thailand backpacking experience? Start in Bangkok and prepare for an incredible 10 days exploring the best beaches and temples Thailand has to offer. We'll tick off the night markets (try mango sticky rice and more) and island hop the days away in style, living the dreaaammm! If you are looking for a whirlwind backpacking adventure that gives you time to explore in your own way too, this is the trip for you!

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Bangkok

You've landed in Thailand! Arrive at the hostel, unpack or just head straight out to explore, your guide will have plenty of recommendations! The whole group will meet tonight so get ready for an incredible evening of icebreakers, new friends and Khaosan road antics. The next 10 days are going to be incredible.

  • Day 2

    Bangkok

Morning! It's your first full day exploring Bangkok and we're starting off with a river cruise! We'll get to take in the city's skyline from the Chao Phraya River and get a taste of some of the local culture. We'll spend the early afternoon visiting two prestigious temples, Wat Arun and Wat Pho. The rest of the day is free for exploring, you could head over to Talad Noi for local artisan shops and street art or head to Soi Songwad, Bangkok's 'Chinatown'. This evening we'll meet up for another trip to Khao San road and maybe try some local street food if you fancy it!

  • Day 3

    Bangkok/Krabi

This morning we are up early for a walk around the local neighbourhood. We'll get to know more about the cultures and way of life in this area of Bangkok and visit a temple. Afterwards we have a free day so you can spend your final day in Bangkok however you chose. Now is the time to grab a massage, head to some more markets or spend time chilling in a local cafe, whatever you want! This evening we will grab some snacks ready for tonight's overnight bus to our next stop Krabi, we're not wasting any time on this adventure so it makes sense to travel as we sleep!

  • Day 4

    Krabi

Wakey wakey! We're waking up in Krabi - ready for some beaches? We'll head to the hostel to drop our bags off and freshen up before heading out to explore Ao Nang. We can spend the day visiting locals cafes, chilling at the hostel or beach hopping along the coast. This evening we will meet up for dinner and to explore the night markets, we'll try some more street food and head out for a beer or two!

  • Day 5

    Krabi

We couldn't come all this way and not go to Railay! We're not meant to have favourites but this might just be one of ours. Think insane views, the bluest water everrr and some incredible adventures up for grabs if you fancy it. We'll jump on a longtail boat over to Railay in the morning and start exploring. Today is free for you to do as you wish but you can opt into activites such as rock climbing, kayaking and trekking - whatever you want to do, you can do it! In the later part of the afteroon we'll return to the hostel and head out on a sunset walk, if you haven't noticed yet...we LOVE a pretty sunset!

  • Day 6

    Krabi/Koh Phi Phi

This morning we're up bright and early to head over to Koh Phi Phi! We'll get the ferry over and arrive around midday. Koh Phi Phi really is one of the dreamiest places in Thailand so we're super excited to show you around. We'll grab some lunch and explore Tonsai Village before "hiking" to the most amazing viewpoint. (We say "hiking" cause it's really not that hard or far but it is a super cool spot on the island.) We can watch the sunset from up here or head back down to watch the sun set over a cocktail, it's up to you! Phi Phi's nightlife is something special so of course we'll try that out too, would be rude not to right?

  • Day 7

    Koh Phi Phi

Did someone say island hopping?! We did! We're headed out on the island hopping trip of dreams today and we're ticking off some of the most amazing and famous beaches in the area. Monkey Beach, Pileh Lagoon and Maya Bay just to name a few. We'll spend the day on our longtail boat taking in the sights and we'll even get some some lunch on board too - we really are living the dream! Once we are back on dry land we'll freshen up and spend our last night in Phi Phi instyle - maybe even a bar crawl?!

  • Day 8

    Koh Phi Phi/Phuket

Bye bye Phi Phi, we're off to our final stop of this adventure. Our ferry will arrive into Phuket this afternoon and we have some free time to spend as you wish this afternoon, you might want a massage, beach time or even a nap (we're not judging!) Tonight we'll visit Bangla Road for some proper Phuket antics and a night to remember.

  • Day 9

    Phuket

Morning! Are you ready for our final magical day as a group? No neither are we... We'll push tomorrow's goodbyes to the back of our minds and make the most of our final full day in Phuket. We'll visit the Bug Buddha (it's even bigger that you think, trust us...) The rest of the day will be spent exploring, relaxing and enjoying some more local beaches. Your guide will be able to show you their favourite spots on the island to end the trip in style. Tonight we'll head out for one final night out as a TruFam - we're not crying, you are...

  • Day 10

    Phuket

It's the moment we've been dreading...it's time to say goodbye... We'll swap photos, numbers and instagrams and make sure to get one final group pic. It's been an amazing 10 days backpacking Thailand, we've ticked of temples, island hopping and numerous nights out. We're leaving as a family and it won't be long until a reunion, don't be a stranger!
