    Arrive at any time and welcome to Negombo, know for its lazy beach, wandering canals, and fresh seafood markets.

    Negombo/Sigiriya

    Travel to the centre of the island to explore the UNESCO World Heritage City, Sigiriya. Opt to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress or view elephants on a safari drive in Minneriya National Park.

    Sigiriya

    Spend the day freely exploring more of this ancient yet luscious region. Opt to visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, or go back in time at the Anurhadhapura historical site.

    Sigiriya/Digana

    Visit a medicinal spice garden enroute to Digana. After, enjoy lunch before embarking on a guided village walk to gain insight into Sri Lankan rural daily life.     Spend the morning trekking Little Adam's Peak to get a 360-degree view of Sri Lankan countryside encompassing the giant Ella Rock and textured green mountains. For the rest of the day, enjoy the freedom to explore scenic Ella more in-depth. Opt to venture to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge or hunt for some waterfalls with your fellow explorers.

    Ella/Hikkaduwa

    Set off towards the southern coast stopping en route to explore the indestructible Galle Fort. Finish the day's journey oceanside on the white sand beaches of Hikkaduwa.

    Travel to Colombo to hop a flight down to the tranquil blue haven of the Maldives. Board your traditional Dhoni boat and after a brief meeting with your CEO, settle in, and set sail on a voyage of discovery.

    Spend the next five days cruising around the South Malé and Felidhu atolls, disembarking to visit islands and sandbars along the way.     If your trip coincides with Ramadan (Feb 28 - Mar 29, 2025, or Feb 17 - Mar 19, 2026), please wear loose-fitting clothes covering knees and shoulders, and avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in public out of respect for those who are fasting. There may be some limitations to services and disruptions to schedules during Ramadan.
  • What should I know about currency and exchanging money in Sri Lanka and the Maldives?

    In Sri Lanka, ATMs accepting Visa and Mastercard are available in major cities, and major credit cards are accepted with a possible 2-4% transaction fee. In the Maldives, there are no ATMs outside Malé; US dollars are the best foreign currency, accepted at most shops and resorts. Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is non-convertible outside the Maldives. It's best to bring notes in good condition and denominations lower than 100USD.

    Yes, tipping service providers like waiters (around 10%) is customary. For local guides and drivers in Sri Lanka, USD1-2 per person per day is recommended.     It is your responsibility to consult with your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information and required inoculations. It is recommended to carry a First Aid kit and hand sanitizers, as medical facilities may be remote. Tour CEOs are prohibited from administering any type of drug.

    Laundry facilities are offered by some hotels for a charge. You may hand wash items, and it's suggested to bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap. There are no laundry facilities onboard the dhoni boat.
