Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrive in Seoul

Welcome to Seoul - Annyeonghaseyo! You’ve landed in South Korea’s buzzing capital, where historic palaces meet futuristic skylines. Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, it’s time to meet your travel crew and get excited for the journey ahead!

  • Day 2

    Palaces & Hanoks

Today’s all about exploring the traditional heart of Seoul! We’ll start at Gyeongbokgung Palace - one of Korea’s grandest and most iconic. Next up, we’ll stroll through a Hanok village to admire the charm of classic Korean homes. Then it’s over to Insadong Street for a relaxed afternoon of local shopping and tasty street food.

  • Day 3

    DMZ Tour & Netflix Stars

This morning, we’re heading north—right up to the edge of the Korean Peninsula—to the DMZ, the heavily guarded border that separates North and South Korea. You’ll learn the history behind the division and even get a rare look across the line into the mysterious North. Once we’re back in Seoul, we’ll make our way to Gwangjang Market, featured in Netflix’s ‘Street Food Asia’, where you can hunt down some of the show’s foodie stars and dig into their famous dishes.

  • Day 4

Travel to Jeonju, Cooking Class & Rice Wine Tasting

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Seoul (for now) and hop on the KTX - Korea’s high-speed train - for a ride down to Jeonju, known for its beautifully preserved Hanok village. You’ll have time to wander the traditional streets, soak in the old-world charm, and maybe sample some local favorites like Korean rice wine and soju. Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class, where you’ll whip up and get to try classic dishes like bibimbap.

  • Day 5

Busan, Coastal Highlights & Korean BBQ

Today, we’re off to Busan - a stunning coastal city with serious charm! You’ll have the afternoon free to explore cozy cafés and soak up the local vibe, before hopping on the famous Haeundae Sky Capsule for panoramic views of the shoreline. In the evening, get ready for a proper Korean BBQ feast, followed by a taste of Busan’s buzzing nightlife. Karaoke, anyone?

  • Day 6

    Taekwondo Class

Get ready to stretch and move - today’s all about Taekwondo! Whether you’re already a pro with flying, spinning kicks or a total beginner who’s only seen them on TV, this class will have something for you. You’ll learn the fundamentals of kicks and blocks, and by the end, you’ll get to show off your skills by breaking some wooden boards!

  • Day 7

    Buddhist Temple Experience

Today offers a rare chance to immerse yourself in the Buddhist way of life. We’ll take a guided tour of the temple, spend the night in traditional accommodations, join the monks for their prayer services, and enjoy the vegan meals they eat for dinner and breakfast. It’s a peaceful break from the busy city pace - a perfect moment to reflect and recharge.

  • Day 8

    Gyeongju Hanok Village

Known as the “Museum without Walls”, Gyeongju was once the capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom for over 1000 years, and it is our final stop before heading back to Seoul. With more UNESCO World Heritage sites than you can count, we will take you on a bike tour of the tombs, pagodas, bridges and palace ruins so you can truly experience the rich historical and cultural heritage of this town. And to make you feel fully immersed in ancient life, we will even be staying in a beautiful Hanok, sleeping the traditional way with mattresses on the floor, which are comfier than you might think, and are a real delight in the winter when the “ondol” under-floor heating is turned on. We can even rock some traditional Hanbok gear for the full experience!

  • Day 9

    Travel back to Seoul

It’s time to return to Seoul, but there’s still one last experience to enjoy - K-Pop, the cultural phenomenon that put Korea in the spotlight. Get ready to learn some moves from a professional instructor, then head to Seoul’s HiKR ground where you and your crew can star in your very own dance video and feel like K-Pop superstars. In the evening, we’ll come together for a final dinner to celebrate the amazing journey we’ve shared.

  • Day 10

Depart Seoul or Continue Your Travels

Your incredible 10-day journey wraps up today. If you’re flying home, it’s time to head to the airport. But if you’re ready to keep the adventure going, you can extend your stay in Seoul or elsewhere in South Korea—with our support and the new friends you’ve made along the way. Frequently asked questions

  • Do many people travel alone?

Yes. Lots of people on our trips are travelling solo. But by doing our trip you’ll instantly be part of a group, so it’s a great way to meet others and make friends!
  • Can I chat to my group before I leave?

You can start chatting to people in your group and other travellers before you leave. Just go to our Facebook page, click on ‘Groups’ and choose South Korea.
  • When is the best time to visit South Korea?

South Korea has four distinct seasons, all beautiful and amazing for different reasons. The winter months (Dec-Mar) are cold but bring stunning snow-capped mountains and a magical winter wonderland feel. Spring (Apr - Jun) is popular for its colourful beauty and famous cherry blossoms. Summer (Jun - Aug) is hot, humid and great for outdoor activities. Autumn (Sep – Nov) again brings stunning colourful scenery with the autumn foliage. So you’re sure to have an amazing time any month of year!
  • How much spending money will I need?

South Korea is generally one of the more expensive countries in Asia. However all your activities, accommodation, transport and some meals are included, so you’ll just need money for any extra meals, drinks, shopping and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least £600 / $1000 spending money.
  • How will I access my money while I’m away?

We recommend getting a travel currency card through Wise. You can use the Wise card almost everywhere and withdraw cash and use it with Google or Apple Pay. If you transfer your money into the local currency, you can avoid paying foreign exchange fees when you use the card. There are ATM’s available throughout South Korea so it’s easy to get access to cash.
  • Is there Wi-Fi throughout the trip?

All accommodations we stay at have free Wi-Fi available. South Korea’s network quality is generally very good.
  • How are rooms assigned?

If you are travelling with others let us know and we will room you together. If you are travelling solo we will always place you in a room with someone of the same gender if it’s a twin room. If any accommodations are multi-share rooms we will do our best to keep the same gender, however occasionally it may be mixed.
  • What luggage do you recommend?

We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. We will be using mainly trains for transport so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. Depending on your onward travel plans there is luggage storage at the airports or at some accommodations if needed.
  • What power outlets are used in South Korea?

South Korea generally uses a 2 pin flat socket the same as North America. It’s always best to grab yourself an appropriate adaptor if needed before you go.
