  • Had a great time, tour guides were very welcoming and knowledgeable, met some friends for life, was great to travel with the same group of people and being a smaller group having the chance to get to know everyone on a decent level. Trip was nearly perfect just some minor hostel and public transport issues

  • Im so glad I chose G Adventures for the trip of a lifetime. I got to have so much experience in Europe and had all of the intercity travel and accommodations taken care of for me. I made so many friends and made so many memories. I can?t wait to go back to many of these cities now that I?ve tasted so much of Europe. G Adventures was a great way to see much of Europe without having to stress about the details of moving between cities and getting booked in hotels/hostels. And I made plenty of friends!

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the age range for this tour?

This tour is designed for travellers aged 18 to 39 years old.
  • What type of accommodation is provided on this tour?

  • Is air conditioning available in the accommodations?

Most accommodation in Europe does not have air conditioning. Hotels can typically provide a standing or desk fan for your room on hot nights, which your CEO can help arrange.
  • Are meals included in the tour price?

Generally, meals are not included in the trip price to offer maximum flexibility in dining choices. A basic breakfast (toast, coffee/tea) may be included where possible, but this can vary. Your CEO can suggest local dining options.
  • What modes of transportation are used during the tour?

The tour primarily uses local buses and trains for intercity transport, and a mix of metro, local bus, taxis, and walking for travel within cities and to/from stations.
  • Do I need to handle my own luggage during transfers?

Yes, you will need to be prepared to carry your own bags for short distances (up to 20-30 minutes maximum) between hotels and transport, and to lift them on and off buses and trains. Luggage storage on public transport can be limited, and elevators are rare in European train stations and hotels.
  • What is the typical group size for this tour?

  • What is the recommended approach for spending money and currency exchange?

Spending money requirements vary by traveler. A combination of Euros and credit/debit cards (Visa, Cirrus, Plus) is recommended. Ensure you have your PIN for cash advances, as many ATMs only accept 4-digit PINs. Be aware that credit card purchases may incur fees. It's also recommended to have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an emergency fund.
  • Is tipping customary in Europe, and what are the guidelines?

Tipping is customary in Europe. A general guideline is 10% for wait staff and €1-€2 for other service providers. For local guides, €6-8 per day is recommended, and for your CEO, €42-€56 per person per week is a guideline.

In Italy, it's advised to cover shoulders when visiting churches and cathedrals. Your CEO can offer more specific advice.
  • Does this tour combine with other tours?

Yes, this tour combines with other tours. As such, some staff and travel companions may have been travelling together previously or may continue on another tour after this one concludes.
  • Is there a tourist access fee for Venice?

Yes, Venice introduced a tourist access fee for day visitors on April 25th, 2024. If you are staying overnight in Venice (either before, during, or after the tour), you can complete a form online to claim an exemption from this fee.
