Customer reviews & ratings

  • Active tour with hands on activities, such as Moroccan meal preparation and kayaking excursion. Great tour for those who want a more interactive vacation. I kayaked, went up in a hot air balloon, drove a dune buggy across the Sahara desert, rode a dromedary across the Sahara desert, and relaxed poolside in the desert and star gazed under the desert sky. The itinerary and the optional organized activities met my expectations. It focused on key tour sites while allowing for scheduling optional activities such as hot air balloon ride and dune buggy drive. I liked the new Geluxe product concept, where dinner costs were included into the itinerary, fewer financial concerns of ensuring sufficient funds and having to access banks and machine to withdraw funds.

  • How will we travel between destinations on this tour?

Transportation will primarily be by private vehicle, 4x4, and walking. Please be aware that there is a lot of fast-paced travel, which necessitates some long days in our 16-seater minivan. The maximum group size is 12 travelers, with an average of 10.
  • What is the local currency and what are the recommendations for managing money?

The local currency in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). ATMs are very common and accept Cirrus and Plus system cards, but it's important to check with your bank before departure and travel with more than one type of card. Visa cards are the most widely accepted credit cards, but typically only for larger purchases, and a fee usually applies. Euros, GBP, and USD can be exchanged at money exchange offices in major cities.
