  • Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

    Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in central Kathmandu. Refresh after your flight or wander through the colourful streets of Thamel. A pre-trek briefing will be arranged.

  • Day 2

    Kathmandu City Tour & Trek Briefing

    Discover the highlights of Kathmandu on a guided city tour, including the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, the serene Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and the ancient Boudhanath Stupa. In the afternoon, attend your trek briefing and gear check.

    Fly to Lukla & Trek to Paiya (2,730m) – 4–5 hrs

    Enjoy a thrilling flight into Lukla, gateway to the Khumbu. Begin your trek through quiet forested trails and traditional hamlets before arriving in Paiya for your first night in the hills.

    Paiya – Panggom (2,850m) – 6–7 hrs

    Cross the Kari La pass and enjoy sweeping views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. Trek through rhododendron forests and terraced fields to reach Panggom.

  • Day 5

    Panggom – Ramailo Danda (3,276m) – 5–6 hrs

    Pass mani walls and small villages as you climb over Chatuk La. Views of Mera’s south face grow closer as the trail winds toward Ramailo Danda.

    Ramailo Danda – Chhatra Khola (3,122m) – 6–7 hrs

    Descend along the peaceful Pasang Lhamu Trail, rich in wildlife. Cross streams and suspension bridges before arriving at the riverside hamlet of Chhatra Khola.

  • Day 7

    Chhatra Khola – Kothe (3,580m) – 5–6 hrs

    Enter the Hinku Valley, trekking through bamboo and pine forests with glimpses of Mera Peak. Arrive at Kothe for a warm welcome.

    Kothe – Thangnak (4,358m) – 4–5 hrs

    ollow the Inkhu Khola past summer pastures and visit the centuries-old Lungsumgba Gompa before reaching Thangnak, nestled beneath Charpate Himal.

    Thangnak – Khare (5,000m) – 4–5 hrs

    Ascend moraines alongside Dig Glacier with striking views of Charpate Himal before arriving in Khare, base for your climbing adventure.

  • Day 10

    Acclimatization & Glacier Skills Practice

    Spend the day training with your climbing leader. Learn crampon and rope techniques on a glacier before preparing summit gear.

    Mera High Camp (5,750m) – 5–6 hrs

  • Day 12

    Summit Mera Peak (6,476m) – Return to Khare – 8–9 hrs

    Thuli Kharka – Lukla (2,800m) via Zatrwa La – 7–8 hrs

    Fly Lukla – Kathmandu

  • How difficult is Mera Peak to climb?

    Mera Peak (6,476m) is classified as a non-technical trekking peak, but the altitude and glacier travel make it a challenging adventure. Previous trekking experience is strongly recommended. You’ll learn and practice mountaineering skills (crampons, rope work, ice axe) before the summit attempt.
  • Do I need prior climbing experience?

    No technical climbing background is required. However, you should be physically fit, comfortable with multi-day treks, and prepared for long days at altitude. Our guides provide training in glacier travel and summit techniques at Khare before the climb.
  • What is the maximum altitude on this trip?

    The highest point is the summit of Mera Peak at 6,476m (21,247ft). Proper acclimatization days are built into the itinerary to maximize summit success and safety.
  • How many hours per day will we trek?

    Most trekking days involve 5–7 hours of walking. On summit day, expect 8–9 hours, starting around 2 a.m. for the ascent.
  • What kind of accommodation is provided?

    Kathmandu: 4-star hotel, twin sharing On trek: Comfortable teahouses (basic but cozy) During climb: Tent camp at High Camp (provided by operator)
  • What meals are included?

    You’ll enjoy 17 breakfasts, 14 lunches, and 15 dinners. Meals on trek include traditional Nepali dishes, soups, rice, noodles, and vegetables, with seasonal fruit provided. In Kathmandu, breakfast is included, plus a farewell dinner.
  • What is the group size?

    The trip runs with a minimum of 2 climbers (both must be climbing Mera). The typical group size ranges from 2–10 participants, supported by guides and porters. Solo climbs are available with a supplement.
  • What is the best time of year to climb Mera Peak?

    The two main climbing seasons are: Spring (March–May): Clear skies, warmer conditions, rhododendron forests in bloom. Autumn (September–November): Stable weather, crisp views, ideal for high-altitude climbing.
  • What permits are required?

    The package includes all necessary permits: Mera Peak Climbing Permit Sagarmatha & Makalu Barun National Park permits TIMS card (if applicable) Local village development charges
  • What personal equipment do I need to bring?

    You’ll need personal trekking and climbing gear (boots, crampons, harness, helmet, clothing layers, gloves, sunglasses). Many items can be rented in Kathmandu for around USD 120. Complimentary down jacket, sleeping bag, and duffel bag are provided.
  • How heavy will my pack be?

    Porters carry most of your belongings (up to 15kg per person). You’ll trek with a light daypack containing water, snacks, camera, and extra layers.
  • What happens if the weather is bad on summit day?

    Day 13 is a contingency day, reserved for poor weather or acclimatization. This flexibility significantly increases summit success rates.
  • What flights are included?

    The trip includes Kathmandu – Lukla – Kathmandu (or Ramechhap) flights. Domestic schedules are weather-dependent, so flexibility is required.
  • Is travel insurance required?

    Yes, comprehensive travel insurance covering trekking and climbing up to 6,500m is mandatory. Your policy must include medical evacuation and helicopter rescue.
  • What about drinking water?

    Boiled or treated water is provided during the climb. In teahouses, bottled or filtered water is available for purchase. Bringing a reusable bottle and purification tablets is recommended.
  • What currency should I bring?

    The local currency is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Carry small denominations for buying snacks, drinks, and souvenirs on trek. Major expenses are included in your package.
  • Are tips included in the cost?

    Tips for guides, porters, and climbing staff are not included. Tipping is customary in Nepal, and your group leader can advise on appropriate amounts.
