  • Day 1

    Welcome to Hanoi

    Your Vietnam adventure commences upon arrival in Hanoi. Our private driver will welcome you at the airport, holding a sign with your name, and accompany you directly to your accommodation in the city's vibrant heart.

    The captivating Old Quarter is just steps away, inviting you to explore its lively streets at your leisure. Alternatively, you may choose to unwind at the hotel following your journey.

  • Day 2

    Explore Hanoi

    Your cultural journey through Hanoi begins with a pick-up from your hotel by our tour guide and driver. Our first stop is Tran Quoc Pagoda, a serene Buddhist sanctuary located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. Established in the 6th century, it is Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, showcasing Vietnam’s rich spiritual traditions.

    Next, we visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, the resting place of Vietnam’s revered leader, affectionately known as Uncle Ho. You may view his embalmed body and stroll through the tranquil gardens surrounding the homes where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. We then explore the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique architectural gem dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy.

    Please note: The mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, though you can still take photos and explore the area. It is also closed for maintenance from 15th June to 15th August. Please dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees when visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas.

    We continue to the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, where you’ll learn about the culture of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. On Mondays, this visit is replaced with the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, highlighting the pivotal role of women in Vietnamese history.

    At midday, savour an authentic Vietnamese lunch at our restaurant, with vegetarian options available. After lunch, we explore the Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 as Vietnam’s first university.

    We then visit Hoa Lo Prison, built by the French between 1886 and 1901 during their colonial rule. Known as Maison Centrale by the French and dubbed “A Hell on Earth,” it now serves as a museum, providing insights into Vietnam’s struggle against French colonialism. Your tour concludes with a return to your hotel.

  • Day 3

    Transfer to Sapa

    Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy some leisure time before we provide a chauffeur-driven limousine transfer to Sapa, where you can relax for the night. Sapa, known for its breathtaking rice terraces and rich cultural diversity, promises an unforgettable stay.

  • Day 4

    Trek Through Muong Hoa Valley

    We begin with a 6 km walk southeast from Sapa, traversing the scenic Muong Hoa Valley to reach Y Linh Ho village, home to the Black H’mong community.

    Our journey continues with a 2 km trek down to Lao Chai village, navigating through the iconic terraced rice fields, and onwards to Ta Van village, where the Dzay minority reside. Here, we'll have lunch with a local family - a unique chance to explore their distinctive house architecture, daily life, and customs.

    As we traverse this stunning landscape, you'll appreciate the area's natural beauty. Finally, we'll embark on a 2 km trek to the bus stop in Ta Van, then return to Sapa by jeep or minivan.

  • Day 5

    Continue Trek to Cat Cat Village & Return to Hanoi

    We will begin our day with a 4 km walk southwest of Sapa to visit Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H’mong community. Here, we'll unwind by a picturesque waterfall and explore the remnants of a hydroelectric power station, a vestige from Vietnam's French colonial era.

    We'll enjoy a picnic lunch by the river before embarking on a 3 km walk to Sin Chai, a village nestled at the base of Fansipan Mountain, famously dubbed the “roof of Vietnam and Indochina.”

    You can take in the stunning landscapes here before we ascend to meet a jeep that will transport us back to Sapa. A limousine will then collect you for the return trip to Hanoi.

  • Day 6

    Halong Bay Overnight Cruise

    After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and depart Hanoi for Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning landscapes. Our cruise team will collect you from the hotel lobby between 8:00 and 9:00 am; the exact time will be confirmed the day prior.

    Upon arrival at the jetty around noon, we will embark on a boat to board the cruise. Enjoy a welcome onboard before settling in, as lunch is served while we sail through the spectacular limestone islets.

    In the afternoon, partake in optional activities such as swimming, kayaking, or exploring caves, depending on the specific itinerary of your cruise. Alternatively, you may opt to relax and savour the scenery from the deck.

    As evening approaches, we will anchor in a picturesque spot, perfect for watching the sunset before enjoying a delightful dinner on board.

    Please note: In case of adverse weather conditions, the itinerary may be altered or cancelled if departure from the port is not permitted. Our travel consultant will arrange alternative plans for you if necessary.

  • Day 7

    Admire a Halong Bay Sunrise & Transfer Back to Hanoi

    As the sun rises over Halong Bay, we'll begin our day with breakfast on board as our vessel gently cruises back to the port. We'll then enjoy an early lunch before disembarking.

    After reaching the port, we'll make our way back to Hanoi, where you'll have the rest of the day to explore the city at your leisure.

  • Day 8

    Travel to Hue

    Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by some leisure time. Our driver will then take you to the airport for your flight to Hue City.

    Once you arrive, we will transfer you to your accommodation in Hue. Spend the night in this historic city, known for its rich history as the former imperial capital of Vietnam.

  • Day 9

    Uncover Hue

    Your full-day exploration of Hue begins at 8:00 am when our guide and vehicle collect you from your city centre hotel. We set off with a tranquil dragon boat cruise on the Perfume River, leading to Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest in Hue. This 30-minute sail offers a refreshing start to the day.

    Next, we visit the Hue Imperial Citadel, the historic residence of Vietnam’s last ruling Nguyen Dynasty. Roam through the grandeur of the Citadel before heading to Dong Ba Market, Hue’s busiest, where the bustling trade offers a glimpse of local life - perhaps you'll find a unique souvenir.

    Lunch will feature Hue’s signature culinary delights, followed by a brief rest. Our afternoon continues with the royal tombs: Khai Dinh King's Tomb, notable for its unique East-meets-West design, and Minh Mang King's Tomb, celebrated for its majestic architecture and natural harmony.

    En route back, we'll pause at a conical hat and incense stick village to observe traditional craft-making processes. Around 4 PM, we return you to your hotel, concluding a day of cultural immersion in Hue. Enjoy a relaxing evening in the city.

  • Day 10

    Continue to Hoi An

    Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and enjoy some leisure time to explore as you wish. Later, we will arrange a private cab to transport you to the charming town of Hoi An.

    Relax and settle in for an overnight stay in Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved ancient town and vibrant cultural heritage.

  • Day 11

    Explore Hoi An Ancient Town

    Begin your Hoi An Walking Tour with a convenient pick-up from your hotel by our knowledgeable guide, ready to uncover the allure of this historic town.

    We start at the Japanese Covered Bridge, a 16th-century icon constructed by Japanese traders. This architecturally stunning bridge, designed to symbolise a sword over Namazu - a mythical sea creature linked to Japanese earthquakes - is rich with fascinating stories shared by your guide.

    Our journey continues to the Tan Ky Old House, a 200-year-old merchant's residence featuring a harmonious blend of Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese architectural styles. Here, we delve into its extraordinary Feng Shui design, where every element embodies balance and prosperity.

    Next, we visit the Fujian Assembly Hall, a former Chinese business hub dedicated to Mazu, the sea goddess who safeguards sailors and travellers. After appreciating the hall's grandeur, we move to a local handicraft workshop. There, you can learn the traditional art of crafting Hoi An lanterns and create your own, a memorable keepsake.

    Our final stop is Hoi An Market, the largest in the town, providing a vibrant snapshot of local life. As you wander the lively stalls, our guide will explain the intricacies of local trading and bargaining.

    Following the tour, you are free to continue exploring Hoi An at your own pace, soaking in its enduring charm.

  • Day 12

    Hoi An Eco-Village & Cooking Experience

    Embark on a unique journey through the serene rice paddies of Hoi An, where we begin our day cycling through lush landscapes.

    Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink before we delve into the organic herb garden. Here, you'll discover traditional organic farming techniques that have been used for generations, and even get hands-on experience practising these methods on the farm.

    Following our exploration, partake in a cooking class featuring authentic village cuisine, culminating in a delicious lunch.

    Afterward, unwind with a soothing herbal foot massage by the tranquil river, an ideal way to relax amidst nature. Our memorable day concludes with a warm farewell to our guests.

  • Day 13

    Journey to Ho Chi Minh City

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before spending some free time as you please. Later, a private cab will transfer us to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Upon arrival, we’ll settle in for an overnight stay in this vibrant city, known for its fascinating blend of French colonial history and modern Vietnamese culture.

  • Day 14

    Discover Ho Chi Minh City

    We begin our day at the Independence Palace, or Reunification Palace, an iconic site in Ho Chi Minh City. This historic building, designed by renowned architect Ngo Viet Thu, stands where Norodom Palace once was and plays a significant role in Vietnam’s history.

    Our city tour continues with a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, perfect examples of French colonial architecture. Please note that Notre Dame Cathedral is currently under restoration; however, you can still admire its exterior.

    We then head to the War Remnants Museum, where you will find thought-provoking exhibits detailing both Indochina wars. At 12:00 pm, we return to your hotel or designated meeting point, concluding this morning's tour.

  • Day 15

    Explore Cu Chi Tunnels

    We begin our journey with a 1.5-hour drive from our meeting point to the Cu Chi Tunnels, located 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City. This extensive 220 km-long underground network is a testament to resilience and resourcefulness, having played a vital role during the Vietnam War.

    Upon arrival, our guide will introduce the legendary history of Cu Chi, complemented by a documentary film that explains the tunnels’ complex construction and the fierce battles that took place here.

    We will then explore the various components of the tunnel system, including the ingenious weapon factories, field hospitals, kitchens, and living quarters. For an authentic experience, you may choose to crawl through the tunnels and gain insight into the life of the guerrilla fighters.

    After the tour, we'll sample manioc, the main sustenance for Cu Chi soldiers during the war. For those adventurous travellers, there's an opportunity to visit a shooting range nearby, where you can fire an AK47, MK16, or machine gun.

    Following our exploration, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 16

    Mekong Delta Experience & Transfer to Can Tho

    We will collect you from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and begin our journey to Cai Be.

    Upon arrival, we'll take a boat trip to explore the remnants of an historic wholesale floating market on the Tien River. This market, once bustling with activity, gives insight into traditional local trading practices, which have evolved due to modern transportation and advancements in agriculture.

    You'll notice the diversity of the region and the wealth of its orchard gardens, earning its reputation as the fruit basket of the lower Mekong River. Stroll through small villages where we will visit an ancient house and delve into the indigenous culture.

    We'll make a brief stop at a family-run business to see how locals produce coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Enjoy fresh fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music, a sound deeply connected to the Mekong Delta's way of life.

    Experience the thrill of paddling through narrow canals, a perfect way to unwind and enjoy the ambiance of the Upper Mekong Delta. On reaching Tan Phong Island, you'll be surrounded by nature's tranquility.

    At lunchtime, savour delicious Vietnamese cuisine, with the opportunity to engage with locals and learn to prepare some regional dishes yourself. The meal will be enjoyed in the heart of the local garden.

    After lunch, you'll cycle along village paths, passing by lush orchards. Meet local islanders and gain insights into everyday life in the Mekong Delta. We will also visit the historic Ba Kiet’s ancient house.

    Finally, we'll return by boat to Cai Be and then meet our bus for the transfer to Can Tho City.

  • Day 17

    Visit Cai Rang Floating Market & Continue to Chau Doc

    Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. We then invite you to embark on an optional leisurely boat ride along the scenic tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River). Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Cai Rang, the area's most vibrant floating market.

    Next, join us for a guided walking tour of a local noodle factory, before visiting the Munir Ansay Pagoda, a renowned Khmer temple known for its distinctive architecture.

    We continue by boat to the Con Son tourist area, where we will explore a fruit plantation and savour some seasonal fruits. After lunch, we will travel by car to Chau Doc.

    Please note: Drop-off times are subject to change due to traffic and weather conditions, which may affect the itinerary's conclusion.

  • Day 18

    Speedboat to Phnom Penh

    Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. You have some free time to relax before we collect you for your transfer to the pier. Our modern speedboat journey to Phnom Penh, lasting approximately 5.5 hours, offers a unique travel experience along the Great Mekong River.

    Known for its rich history and incredible biodiversity, the Mekong Delta reveals stunning sights from the comfort of your seat. As we glide past, you'll witness charming villages, bamboo-stilted homes, bustling floating markets, and local farmers diligently at work, all while children wave and smile.

  • Day 19

    Explore Phnom Penh

    After breakfast at our hotel, we visit the Royal Palace, current residence of the King and royal family of Cambodia. This palatial complex resembles a small royal city, rich in history.

    We then proceed to the Silver Pagoda, more a treasure house than a temple, home to cultural artefacts including a 90 kg golden Buddha adorned with 2,086 diamonds.

    Next, we explore Wat Phnom Temple, a significant landmark in Phnom Penh. Established in 1373, it was constructed on a man-made hill by the affluent widow Daun Chi Penh.

    In the afternoon, we visit the Tuol Sleng Museum, formerly S-21 Prison. This school-turned-prison during the Khmer Rouge era is a stark reminder of Cambodia's recent history, where over 17,000 prisoners were later taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek.

    Finally, we'll explore the vibrant Russian Market, or Toul Tumpong Market, noted for its affordable clothing, diverse selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, and traditional crafts such as betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewellery, and musical instruments.

  • Day 20

    Transfer to Siem Reap

    Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before we head to the bus station for our five-hour journey to Siem Reap. Once we arrive, we’ll transfer to the hotel and check in.

    In the afternoon, we’ll visit Artisan D’Angkor, a handicraft centre where you can observe traditional wood and stone carving techniques. Afterwards, we’ll visit Wat Thmey, also known as the Killing Field, which features a distinctive glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims from the Khmer Rouge era.

  • Day 21

    Angkor Temple Complex

    After breakfast at the hotel, we travel out of town on a newly paved road towards the intricately designed and well-preserved Banteay Srei Temple.

    En route, we stop at Preah Dark village to soak in the local lifestyle before proceeding to Banteay Samre Temple. This impressive temple features stunning reliefs that depict tales from the legends of Vishnu and Krishna, providing insight into Cambodia's rich mythology.

    In the afternoon, we visit the renowned Angkor Wat, the largest temple complex in the world. Spanning 200 hectares, this architectural marvel is encircled by a vast moat and an exterior wall measuring 1,300 by 1,500 metres. Explore its grandeur and intricate carvings as you delve into this iconic symbol of Cambodia's heritage.

  • Day 22

    Uncover Angkor Thom & Ta Prohm

    Start the day with breakfast at the hotel before heading out to explore Angkor Thom. We'll pass through the iconic South Gate and visit the impressive Bayon Temple, an architectural marvel from the late 12th and early 13th centuries, built by King Jayavarman VII. With its 54 towers, this site offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Khmer Empire.

    We’ll also explore the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, each steeped in historical significance and splendour.

    Next, we'll visit Preah Khan Temple, another creation of King Jayavarman VII, dedicated to his father. This expansive monastic complex, which once housed a thriving community of over 1,000 monks, is both a Buddhist monastery and an educational hub.

    In the afternoon, we'll venture to Ta Prohm, a temple famously enveloped by jungle. The intertwining roots of giant fig trees and creepers create a striking image of nature reclaiming human endeavour.

    We'll conclude the day with a sunset view atop Phnom Bakheng, where the scenery provides a memorable finish to our explorations.

  • Day 23

    Tonle Sap Lake Cruise & Depart Siem Reap

    After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia's largest permanent freshwater lake, for a guided private boat ride. This lake flows into the Tonle Sap River, which connects with the Mekong River in Phnom Penh.

    While cruising, we'll observe a fishermen's floating village, featuring floating schools, a police station, and other unique structures. This village moves throughout the year, adapting to water levels and currents.

    Later, we transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
