As your adventure concludes, a detour through the chocolate-laden streets of Brussels provides the perfect sweet finale, ensuring that your trip is filled with unforgettable memories and fascinating cultural discoveries.
Itinerary
Day 1
Amsterdam Canal Cruise, Dutch Cheese Farm & Optional Holland Excursion
Welcome to your first day in Amsterdam! This morning, meet your tour leader and fellow travellers at the hotel. We begin with a visit to a local farm, where you'll see a demonstration of traditional Dutch cheese-making and clog crafting. Afterwards, we'll regroup for an included lunch in the city.
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely canal cruise through Amsterdam. As we glide along, marvel at the city's beautiful 17th-century architecture and soak in the unique ambiance. Following the cruise, you can choose to join an optional Timeless Holland excursion, where you’ll visit a charming fishing village, enjoy a coastal dinner, and take in panoramic views of Amsterdam.
In the evening, you may wish to explore the vibrant Dam Square or perhaps the famed Red Light District.
Day 2
Rhine Valley Wine Tasting & Rhine River Cruise
Today, we bid farewell to the Netherlands and embark on a journey to Germany's picturesque Rhine Valley. Upon arriving in Boppard, we'll indulge in a tasting of the region's renowned wines.
Following this, we will board a riverboat for a memorable cruise along the Rhine River, where you can admire the largest collection of Gothic castles in Europe, as well as the scenic vineyards, towering cliffs and charming medieval towns. Later, we will visit local artisans for a fascinating insight into the traditional craft of making German beer steins and cuckoo clocks.
After a day filled with unique experiences, we'll head to our hotel in the Rhine Valley for a group dinner.
Day 3
Rhine Valley to Innsbruck via Ulm City Stop
Today, we journey towards Innsbruck, Austria, with an intriguing stop in Ulm, Germany. In Ulm, you can explore the city renowned as the birthplace of Albert Einstein and admire the world's tallest church steeple, a testament to its rich architectural heritage.
Afterwards, we continue to Innsbruck, a favoured destination offering activities for every interest. Adventurers can revel in extreme sports near the towering Nordkette Alps, while history enthusiasts can delve into the Habsburg legacy. On arrival, we will enjoy an orientation tour of the city, offering an insightful introduction before you have free time to explore.
In the evening, you may choose to immerse yourself in Austrian culture with the optional Tyrol Folk Evening & Dinner—a perfect end to the day.
Day 4
Innsbruck to Venice via Verona (Optional Gondola & Dinner)
Today, we depart from Innsbruck and travel to the enchanting city of Venice. Along the way, we'll stop in Verona, famously associated with Shakespeare’s timeless tale of Romeo and Juliet. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Venice, the renowned "Floating City". Known for its stunning canals and artistic heritage, Venice promises to captivate any traveller.
This evening, explore Venice at your own pace. Alternatively, for a truly memorable experience, you can opt for the "An Evening in Venice" excursion. This optional tour includes a water taxi and gondola cruise, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5
Venice to Swiss Alps via Lucerne
Today, we travel back to the Alpine region, continuing our journey to Lucerne. Ensure your cameras are ready to capture one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities. Here, you'll find a sparkling blue lake, a well-preserved old town, scenic waterfront promenades, charming covered bridges, and picturesque squares, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps.
You may choose to join an optional Lake Lucerne cruise for awe-inspiring views. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy an orientation tour with your tour leader. Our day concludes with a transfer to our hotel in the Swiss Alps, where we’ll have dinner.
Day 6
Swiss Alps Free Time & Travel to Burgundy
This morning, you have some free time to explore the Swiss Alps at your leisure. Alternatively, join us for an optional excursion to Jungfraujoch. Experience breathtaking views from the summit and enjoy the perpetual snow and thrilling activities available there.
Later, we depart for France, travelling to the Burgundy region, celebrated for its exquisite wines and cuisine. Upon arrival in Dijon, we will take you on an orientation tour, where you can admire its rich history, visit remarkable museums, and appreciate the stunning Renaissance architecture that the city offers.
This evening, we'll gather for an included group dinner.
Day 7
Paris City Tour, Seine River Cruise & Free Evening
Welcome to the captivating "City of Lights"—Paris! Upon arrival, we will embark on an orientation cruise along the River Seine, passing iconic landmarks such as the Louvre while enjoying a classic French baguette.
Following the cruise, we'll proceed on a driving tour around the vibrant French capital. Keep your camera handy for unforgettable images of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Next, we will visit the renowned Fragonard Perfume Museum, a highlight for fragrance enthusiasts.
The rest of the day is yours to explore at leisure. In the evening, you can opt to join an excursion to the charming district of Montmartre and experience an authentic Parisian cabaret show.
Day 8
Brussels Visit & Return to Amsterdam
Today marks the end of your unforgettable European journey. En route back to Amsterdam, we'll stop in Brussels, Belgium's charming capital. Here, you'll have the chance to explore the city, sampling traditional Belgian dishes such as moules et frites, alongside a wide selection of beers. Don't miss the renowned Belgian chocolate and waffles, perfect for a treat or souvenir.
We'll also visit the striking Atomium for a photo opportunity. This iconic structure, originally built for the 1958 World Expo, offers a unique glimpse into mid-20th century innovation.
We then continue our journey to Amsterdam, where the tour concludes. We hope you've created cherished memories with us on this trip.
