Day 1
Arrival in London & Free Time to Explore
Welcome to the Europe Taster with London! Upon arrival in London, check in to your hotel and set off to explore the city's renowned attractions. Perhaps take a ride on the iconic London Eye for panoramic views of the capital or visit the British Museum to uncover treasures from around the globe. Spend the day soaking up the vibrant culture at your own pace. Tomorrow morning marks the official start of the tour, where you'll meet your group and tour leader to begin your European adventure.
Day 2
London to Paris & Evening City Tour
Meet your tour leader and fellow travellers as we depart London and cross the English Channel to Paris, known affectionately as the 'City of Lights.' Once in Paris, join us on a scenic driving tour where you'll see iconic landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Tuileries Gardens, the enchanting Seine River, the Louvre, and the Arc de Triomphe. In the evening, savour a welcome dinner at a local restaurant—a perfect introduction to Parisian cuisine. Bon appétit!
Day 3
Paris Free Day with Optional Seine Cruise & Cabaret Show
Spend a day at your own pace discovering the charm of Paris. Consider joining our Paris+ excursion, which includes a visit to a famous French perfumery, a tasting at an authentic macaron shop, and a leisurely sightseeing cruise on the River Seine.
Alternatively, explore the city independently, with iconic sites such as the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower waiting to be discovered. This evening, you might opt for the "Evening in Montmartre" excursion or take in a captivating cabaret show for a memorable finish to your day.
Day 4
Burgundy Wine Region Visit & Journey to the Swiss Alps
Bid farewell to Paris as we set our sights on Burgundy, renowned for its exquisite wines. In Beaune, the heart of Burgundy's wine country, you'll have free time to explore and perhaps enjoy lunch at a local café. Consider taking a leisurely stroll through a traditional market, where you can sample some delightful local wines.
After lunch, we continue our journey towards Switzerland, enjoying a picturesque drive through the stunning Swiss Alps. We enter the Jungfrau Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famed for hosting Europe’s largest glacier. Our day concludes with an included group dinner.
Day 5
Swiss Alps Free Day with Optional Jungfraujoch Excursion
Today offers you the opportunity to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Alps. Join our optional excursion to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe, for an unforgettable journey. As the train ascends, you'll pass charming villages set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and cascading waterfalls. At the summit, enjoy the panoramic views of glaciers and rugged peaks, surrounded by year-round snow. Don't forget your camera to capture these stunning sights before heading back down for the afternoon.
This evening, consider taking part in an optional Alpine Dinner Experience, where you can indulge in traditional Swiss cuisine.
Day 6
Rhine River Cruise & Wine Tasting in the Rhine Valley
Good morning! Today, we leave Switzerland behind and journey into Germany's renowned Rhine Valley. Look forward to stunning landscapes as we travel to St. Goar. On arrival, we board a riverboat for a cruise from St. Goar to Boppard. Experience the Rhine Valley's striking beauty from the water, where we see Europe's densest collection of Gothic castles, along with vineyards, charming medieval towns, and imposing cliffs.
We'll visit a local wine merchant for a tasting session of regional wines. If the harvest conditions have been ideal, you may have the chance to try eiswein, a rare and delectable dessert wine made under specific freezing conditions.
Tonight, enjoy dinner at our hotel.
Day 7
Travel to Amsterdam with Dutch Cheese, Clog & Canal Cruise Experiences
We depart Germany and enter the Netherlands, pausing for a lunch break along the way. Our first stop in the Netherlands is the historic Riekermolen Windmill, ideal for capturing memorable photos. We then explore the traditional crafts of Dutch cheese-making and clog production, gaining insight into these iconic customs.
Next, we head to Amsterdam, where you can explore the city at your leisure. Later, we regroup for a captivating canal cruise—an unmissable way to see the city's architecture. The day concludes with a farewell group dinner at a local restaurant, before retiring to our hotel for the evening.
Day 8
Amsterdam to London via Ghent Exploration
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Amsterdam and make our way back to London, travelling through Belgium. Renowned for its beer, waffles, chocolate, and moules et frites, Belgium tantalises the senses. Our journey includes a stop in Ghent, a remarkable city known for its well-preserved medieval architecture.
As you wander its cobblestone streets, you’ll discover historic churches and towering landmarks, offering a delightful setting for exploration. This is also a great opportunity to purchase any last-minute souvenirs during your free time. After our visit, we rejoin the coach for the final stretch back to London, where we will spend the night.
Day 9
End of Tour in London
Enjoy breakfast in London before bidding farewell as our Expat Explore tour concludes. Reflect on your favourite moments from the trip, where you made lifelong memories and friends. Consider planning your next adventure together! After check-out, you have a few remaining hours to explore or relax in London.
