Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Rome

We recommend booking pre-tour accommodation to fully explore this magnificent city. Please speak to a the tour operator representative about booking accommodations in Rome before Day 1 of this itinerary.

Please note that if Vatican City is on your must-see list, we highly recommend purchasing your tickets online several weeks prior to your trip. Advance tickets can be reserved online at https://tickets.museivaticani.va/home. • Day 2

    Rome to Split

It’s all about those good vibes and finding that connection today. Say, “Arrivederci Rome”, as you cruise towards the Adriatic Coast. Once we arrive in Ancona you’ll board an overnight ferry to Split, Croatia. Sleeping cabins are included and we bet you’ll have some stories to tell afterwards. We can’t wait to hear them!

  • Day 3

    Split

Wipe the sleep from those eyes with a quick breakfast onboard the ferry. Then, on your mark, get set, GO explore the second largest city in Croatia! Modern life and ancient history collide here ensuring there’s plenty of experiences to keep you preoccupied. The only challenge? Seeing as much as you can without rushing it. We’ll let you in on a secret. For the best views of the city consider climbing the bell tower of St. Domnius Cathedral, then head out on a sightseeing guided tour to explore Old Town and Diocletian’s Palace. But after all this we wanted to do you a favour, so we’ll give you back your evening to do as you will. Think drinks in the hostel with new friends, or heading out on the town for a night of laughter and dancing. Doesn’t sound like you could go wrong.

  • Day 4

    Brac/Split

Get your sea legs ready for a ferry ride to the island of Brač today. Stroll along the beautiful beaches or head into the heart of Supetar, the largest town on the island. Get your fill of historic buildings, tasty food, and completely unbeatable Mediterranean views before returning to Split.

  • Day 5

    Split/Dubrovnik

Did someone say Peljesac Peninsula? No? Well anyway, you’ll see some of this gem on your way from Split to Dubrovnik. Wave your goodbyes as you head toward a place renowned for the best red wine in Croatia. Wander the Wall of Ston, from Ston to Mali. Then continue down the coast to live your best life in Dubrovnik.

  • Day 6

    Dubrovnik

Wake up in the iconic Dubrovnik, and enjoy free time before heading out with your travel besties on a group walk through the Old Town. Play eye spy and see if you can spot Dubrovnik Cathedral, Lovrijenac Fort, and a Franciscan Monastery. Afterwards, revel in the timeless atmosphere of this port city. You might never leave and we wouldn’t blame you.

  • Day 7

    Dubrovnik

Depart at any time, or maybe decide to add on a few more nights and spend it lounging along the Mediterranean.

  • Great way to experience the Dalmatian coast with a great CEO and group. Hostels were clean and good. Great place to stay and meet people of traveling alone. Hostels well equipped. But being slightly Older, I think I would be better in hotels but no fault or issue with G adventure. Just a personal choice after having stayed in hostels now for the 1st time

Frequently asked questions

  • What type of accommodation is provided on this tour?

The tour primarily uses hip and lively hostels in central locations, offering clean, safe, and simple accommodation, typically in multi-share rooms (6-8 people). There are options for mixed-gender or female-only dorms, as well as available upgrades to twin-share rooms. One night includes an overnight ferry with sleeping cabins.
  • Will my hostel room have air conditioning?

Most accommodation in Europe, including hostels on this trip, does not have air conditioning units in rooms, as it is not routinely installed in European homes and workplaces.
  • What modes of transportation are used during the tour?

Most transport will be by private vehicle or local bus. The group will also take an overnight ferry from Ancona to Split and a hydrofoil from Split to Korčula. Be prepared for some long travel days between destinations.
  • What is the typical group size for this tour?

The maximum group size for this tour is 12 participants.
  • What are the age restrictions for this tour?

This tour is designed for travelers between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Are meals included in the tour price?

Five breakfasts are included during the tour. Generally, other meals are not included to provide flexibility in choosing where and what to eat, allowing for more budgeting flexibility.
  • What is the role of the CEO (Chief Experience Officer) and local guides?

A CEO accompanies the group to manage the trip, provide information on the areas, suggest activities and restaurants, and introduce you to local friends. CEOs provide orientation walks but cannot legally share historical facts in public places; local licensed guides can be arranged for more in-depth historical tours.
  • What is the physical rating of this tour?

The physical rating for this tour is 2, indicating a moderate level of activity.
  • What currency should I bring, and are credit cards accepted?

Euros (EUR) are accepted everywhere. Credit and debit cards are useful for cash advances at ATMs (ensure you have your 4-digit PIN), but it's recommended to carry a combination of Euros and cards, as card acceptance can vary. Avoid relying on credit cards as your only source of money.
  • What is an 'emergency fund' and why is it recommended?

It is recommended to have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund. This is for rare circumstances outside of the tour's control, such as a natural disaster, which might require a change to the planned route.
  • Are there any optional activities available?

Yes, in Split, optional activities include visiting the Mestrovic Gallery, Bacvice Beach, Marjan's Peak, and St Domnius Cathedral. During high season (May-October), it's highly recommended to book popular optional activities and museum tickets in advance.
  • What are the luggage requirements and limitations?

You are limited to one main piece of compact and lightweight luggage (preferably a backpack for convenience) per person, as space is limited on transportation. You must be prepared to carry your own luggage for short distances (up to 20 minutes walk), including up and down stairs, and on and off trains and buses, as elevators are rare in Europe.
  • How does solo travel work on this tour?

This tour is designed for shared accommodation, and single travelers are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with someone of the same sex, so no single supplement is charged.
  • What are the tipping customs in Europe?

Tipping is customary in Europe. A general rule is 10% of the bill for wait staff and €1-€2 for other service providers. For local guides, €3-€5 per day is a guideline, and for your CEO, €30-€40 per person per week is a suggested guideline if you felt they did an outstanding job.
  • What kind of weather can I expect during the tour?

From May to October, the weather in the countries visited is generally warm but can be rainy, with 8-9 hours of sunshine.
