Itinerary
Day 1
Helsinki
Welcome to Helsinki, A private transfer to your city-centre hotel is included on arrival. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
Helsinki Sightseeing
Join the Hop-On Hop-Off bus to explore Helsinki’s top sights. Visit Senate Square with its stunning architecture, then head to Kauppatori, the lively market square by the harbor. Stop at the Tuomiokirkko Cathedral, a 19th-century landmark with a striking copper dome. Discover the Temppeliaukio Church, carved into rock for exceptional acoustics. End at Uspenski Cathedral, a grand neo-Byzantine Orthodox church on Katajanokka Island.
Day 3
Helsinki to Turku
Helsinki - Turku. Enjoy a 1.5-hour canal boat tour today, taking in Helsinki’s stunning archipelago and shoreline. Pass iconic sights like the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, Helsinki Zoo on Korkeasaari Island, and the scenic Degero Canal. In the afternoon, take a 3-hour train journey to Turku.
Day 4
Turku at Leisure
Explore the city at your own pace or join an optional 7-hour Turku Archipelago Kayaking tour - we strongly recommend pre booking this activity. If you join the Turku Kayaking adventure, all of your equipment is included, you'll be accompanied by an expert sea kayaking guide, and you'll get lunch. Suitable for beginners and experienced kayakers. Remember your sun protection and a change of clothes, in case you get wet!
Day 5
Visit Turku Castle & Train to Tampere
Turku - Tampere. This morning, enjoy an included visit to Turku Castle, a historic fortress that has been guarding the Aura River since the 13th century. In the afternoon, take a 2-hour train to Tampere.
Day 6
Explore Tampere & Näsinneula Observation
Today, explore the city at your own pace or join the optional 2-hour Tampere Sauna Tour - we strongly recommend pre booking. This optional tour takes you into the heart of Tampere's public saunas, allowing you to unwind and experience a key aspect of Finnish culture. In the afternoon, visit the Nasinneula Observation Tower, the second highest in the Nordic countries at 168 metres.
Day 7
Departure from Tampere
Tampere - Helsinki. After breakfast, transfer to the train station for the a 2-hour train back to Helsinki. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8
Helsinki
Enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping before your private transfer to Helsinki Airport for your return flight home or onward journey.
