Day 2
Mapesu Private Game Reserve
Johannesburg - Mapesu Private Game Reserve. We leave Johannesburg and journey north through Limpopo Province towards the Botswana border. We set up camp in the bush near the Limpopo River, in Mapesu Private Game Reserve on the border of Mapungubwe National Park. Mapungubwe and the historic Mapungubwe Hill form part of a World Heritage Site, once home to the first southern African kingdom in the 13th century and rich with San rock art sites.
On Day 3 we set out on a morning walk to see the Kaoxa Bushman paintings, followed by a late afternoon sunset drive offering spectacular views across a landscape dotted with baobabs.
Day 4
Khama Rhino Sanctuary
Mapesu Private Game Reserve - Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Today we travel through Limpopo Province and cross the border into Botswana, where we set up camp at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. In the late afternoon, you have the option (at your own expense) to join a two-hour game drive in search of the many white rhinos that call the sanctuary home.
Day 5
Maun
Khama Rhino Sanctuary - Maun. After breakfast, we continue our journey along the western edge of the vast Makgadikgadi Pans, arriving in Maun by late afternoon. Here we unwind around the campfire and get ready for our upcoming safari in Moremi.

Maun - Mababe. Mid-morning we switch to 4x4 vehicles and head towards the Mababe area on the edge of Moremi Game Reserve. This pristine wilderness is renowned for its lush green vegetation, scattered palm trees, abundant birdlife, and thriving wildlife. We explore the private concession and the Khwai region of Moremi on early morning and late afternoon game drives. At our private campsite we set up bush showers and toilets for an authentic wilderness experience.
Day 8

Mababe - Savute. Leaving Mababe, we make our way to the Savute region of Chobe National Park, renowned for its impressive prides of lions and exceptional wildlife. The afternoon is dedicated to game drives in this remarkable area before we return to our private campsite, where we set up bush showers and toilets for our stay.
