Itinerary
Day 1
Bergen
Upon arrival in Bergen, make your way to the hotel (or pre-book a transfer with us), where you will then have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the city. You can visit the historic Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site, explore the Bergenhus Fortress, or visit the Fish Market to experience local delicacies.
Day 2
Bergen at Leisure & Mount Floyen
After breakfast, if you missed seeing iconic landmarks during your free time yesterday, you'll have the chance to enjoy sightseeing in Bergen at your own pace, with sights like the Hanseatic Bryggen, the Church of Mary, Hakon Fortress, and the famous Fish Market. Additionally, consider visiting Rosenkrantz Tower, the Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Horda Museum, Fantoft Stave Church, and the St. Mary Church.
You will also enjoy an included ride on the Floibanen Funicular, which will transport you to the top of Mount Floyen. From here, you'll be treated to panoramic views of Bergen, its picturesque harbour, surrounding mountains, and the stunning fjords beyond, providing a perfect vantage point for exploring the city’s beauty.
Later, you can choose to join a guided food and culture walk through Bergen, where you'll discover the city's rich history and vibrant food scene. Taste local specialties like fresh seafood, traditional pastries, and Norwegian treats while exploring historic landmarks and learning about Bergen's cultural heritage.
Day 3
Ferry to Stavanger
Bergen - Stavanger. This morning, make your way to Bergen Pier, where you will embark on a ferry to the oil capital of Norway, Stavanger (approx. 5.30 hours). Enjoy stunning coastal views along the way, as you cruise by beautiful scenery and untouched nature. Once you have arrived at the ferry terminal in Stavanger, make your way to the hotel (or pre-book a transfer with us). The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 4
Lysefjord Cruise
Stavanger - Lysefjord - Stavanger. After breakfast, you will head to the city centre to embark on an included silent, electric fjord cruise through the Lysefjord. As you pass under Lysefjord Bridge, you’ll be surrounded by towering mountains. The journey takes you to Fantahala, a hidden cave once used as a refuge by outlaws, before reaching the region’s most famous landmark - Preikestolen, soaring 604 metres above the fjord.
Lysefjord boasts stunning waterfalls, including the mighty Hengjanefossen, where the boat gets close enough for you to feel its cool mist. In spring and summer, you may spot goats grazing on the mountainsides and, with luck, catch glimpses of sea eagles, seals, or porpoises in the water. The cruise returns to Stavanger, and the rest of today is at leisure.
Please note: The meeting point for the Lysefjord cruise is: Strandkaien 61, 4005 Stavanger, Norway
