Climb Kilimanjaro For Charity
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a very popular and challenging charity adventure. Standing at almost 6,000 meters above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa. A successful summit is really something to be very proud of and is a worthy challenge for any charitable cause.
If you're a charity who wants to organise a trek we can help. We can provide the trekking services you'd require such as hotels, guides, porters as well as flights and offer full financial protection.
We can tailor make a trek along any of the popular routes to meet your needs.
If you're a solo traveller looking to organise or join a trek to summit Kilimanjaro we can also help.
We have listed some FAQs and answers below.
If you'd like to know more please contact our expert team on hello@theadventurepeople.com or 0208 004 8886. We are more than happy to talk through the options.
Are you a charity?
If you're a charity looking to organise a summit trek we can help.
We can support you by providing arrangements to get you there, hotels and the trek itself with guides and porters. Our expert team are on hand to put together the itinerary and quote for you with discounted prices.
We are ATOL certified by the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure you're financially protected.
We have organised treks before for charity summits and so have some experience allowing us to provide you with great service.
Which routes are available?
We can help with any of the main routes including Machame, Marangu and Lemosho being the most popular. Each route is different and offers it's own challenges.
We are able to provide a quote for any route as well as amend the durations to suit your requirements.
What is the process for organising a trek?
We'd suggest the first thing to do is contact us and let us know you'd like to organise a charity summit trek. The best way to contact us is either by phone, live chat on the website or email on hello@theadvenurepeople.com.
A member of our team will pick up the enquiry and be back in touch quickly.
At this stage we'll have a chat with you and likely ask some questions about group size, travelling dates, budget and any other items we need to cover.
We'll then liaise with our local team and airlines to build a quote for you.
When you're happy you'll be able to reserve the places with a low deposit.
How do we make payment?
You'd be able to reserve your spaces and trek with a low deposit per person of £50 for the ground arrangements.
The flights may be bookable with a deposit depending the ticket type quoted and what you'd like to book. This will become apparent when we're building the quote.
You then have a choice to either:
A) make monthly payments towards the balance or
B) make a full balance payment at an agreed date before departure
We can tailor make payment plans too if needs be.
How is our money protected?
We take financial security very seriously and we have a number of measure to ensure your money is fully protected.
We are certified by the civil aviation authority and have our ATOL. This protects you should anything happen - no matter how unlikely - to The Adventure People.
We work with the civil aviation authority annually to renew our ATOL accreditation as well as produce monthly reports to ensure the CAA have full visibility of our cash flow and business.
We are also members of ABTA and as a result have in place a bond again to ensure our customers are protected.
We operate both Trust and Client accounts with our banks. This means that when we receive customers money it does not get deposited into our business account and does not become working capital. We only deposit your money into our business account upon your departure. As a result your money is fully protected until your trip departs,
Can we change dates?
Yes you can change dates of the trek with enough notice. We are able to change dates with 30 days notice. If you wish to change dates within 30 days of departure it may not be possible.
Flights are less easily changed we are afraid to say although, pending the ticket type, it is possible.
Can we cancel?
If borders are shut or the airlines aren't running then we can provide a full refund as your trip would be cancelled.
If though travel is permitted and you wished to cancel full cancellation charges will apply. With enough notice this would mean losing your deposit only.
Is there a minimum size of group?
For a charity trek the group size must be a minimum of six adults.
