Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Beijing

Welcome to Beijing! Drop your bags at the hotel and start exploring this incredible city. Your Tru Leader will provide local recommendations for the afternoon, then the whole group will gather for a welcome dinner. It’s the perfect start to an unforgettable 13-day adventure.

  • Day 2

    Beijing

We’re starting strong with a visit to the Great Wall! We’ll explore the well-preserved (and less crowded) Mutianyu section, where you can walk and take photos at your own pace. After soaking in the views, we’ll head back to Beijing for a relaxed evening meal.

  • Day 3

    Beijing/Xi’an

Morning! We're off to explore the Forbidden City today. The Forbidden City is the largest preserved royal palace complex in the world. We'll spend the day exploring all the ancient buildings and temples with our Tru Leader who will tell us all about it's significance in Chinese culture. Then we'll stop off to load up on snacks before jumping on an overnight train towards Xi'an!

  • Day 4

    Xi’an

Welcome to Xi'an! This morning, after dropping our bags off at the hotel, we're off to the heart of Xi'an. We’ll walk along the 8km City Wall, take in the panoramic views and dive into local traditions. After a delicious noodle lunch, we’ll spend the evening sampling the city's famous street food, with your guide on hand to find the perfect flavors for you.

  • Day 5

    Xi’an

Morning! Today we visit the mind-blowing Terracotta Warriors. Discovered in 1974, these 8,000 figures were buried with Emperor Qin Shi Huang to protect him in the afterlife. After witnessing this incredible site, we’ll enjoy a relaxed evening in Xi'an to recharge before heading to Chengdu tomorrow.

  • Day 6

    Xi’an/Chengdu

We’re heading to Chengdu by train! After checking in, we’ll explore Kuanzhai Alley to browse local shops and enjoy some traditional tea. The evening features a classic "Hot Pot Experience", a Chengdu essential, followed by a trip to the night markets for a sweet Tanghulu treat.

  • Day 7

    Chengdu

Rise and shine! We’re heading to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see China’s national treasure. We’ll arrive early to catch the pandas at their most active and hopefully spot some Red Pandas, too. After exploring the massive 165-acre facility, we’ll head back into the city for dinner and drinks.

  • Day 8

    Chengdu/Furong

We’re travelling from Chengdu to the breathtaking Furong Ancient Town. Arriving mid-afternoon, we’ll head straight out to explore this village built directly over a waterfall. The scenery is cinematic, especially in the evening when the town lights up. We’ll enjoy dinner and a spectacular light show for a true "pinch-me" moment.

  • Day 9

    Chengdu/Zhangjiajie

Just when you thought it couldn’t get more aesthetic, we arrive at Zhangjiajie National Park-the "Avatar Mountains." After exploring the epic peaks, we’ll ride the Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest outdoor glass lift, ascending 326m in under two minutes for breathtaking views. We’ll wrap up the day with dinner and a chance to swap photos of these insane landscapes.

  • Day 10

    Zhangjiajie

One day isn’t enough, so we’re back to explore more of this magical park! Today is your chance to visit the Glass Bridge or Tianmen Mountain (both optional extras), or simply get lost in the scenery. It’s our final day in nature before trading the mountains for the city’s hustle and bustle, so soak it all in.

  • Day 11

    Zhangjiajie/Shanghai

Today's a travel day! Grab your snacks and settle in as we zoom toward Shanghai. We’ll arrive late afternoon, check into our final hotel, and freshen up before heading out. Whether you’re craving a high-energy night at a rooftop bar or a chilled evening in the city, your guide will tailor the night to the group's vibe.

  • Day 12

    Shanghai

It’s our final full day! We’ll start at Yu Garden, a peaceful "Garden of Comfort" dating back to 1559. Afterwards, we’ll hit the shops for some last-minute souvenirs before our farewell dinner. It’s been an incredible journey through China - let’s celebrate with one final hotpot!

  • Day 13

    Shanghai

What a journey! After 13 incredible days, our China adventure comes to an end. If you're staying longer, your guide is available to share recommendations for your next stops. Safe travels and see you soon!
