Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Welcome to Phnom Penh

Welcome to the start of your Cambodian adventure in Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, our private driver will greet you at the airport, displaying a sign with your name for easy recognition. We’ll then escort you to your accommodation. Here, you can choose to relax and unwind post-flight or venture out to explore the vibrant Pub Street. Enjoy the city at your leisure and perhaps indulge in a delicious meal.

  • Day 2

    Phnom Penh City Tour

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide in the lobby. We will start our exploration at the Royal Palace, home to His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal family. This majestic compound resembles a small town of royal heritage.

Next, we head to the Silver Pagoda, a functioning temple housing cultural treasures, including a 90 kg golden Buddha adorned with 2,086 diamonds.

Our journey continues to Wat Phnom Temple, one of Phnom Penh’s most significant pagodas. Built on an artificial hill in 1373 by the affluent widow Daun Chi Penh, it holds great historical importance.

In the afternoon, we’ll confront Cambodia’s dark history at the Tuol Sleng Museum, formerly the S-21 prison. This site, once a school, became a notorious prison under Pol Pot's regime, with over 17,000 detainees sent to the Choeng Ek extermination camp.

Lastly, we visit the vibrant Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), where you can peruse an extensive array of goods, from affordable clothing and Buddha images to wooden carvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewellery, home decor, and local snacks.

  • Day 3

Travel to Siem Reap & Visit Wat Thmey

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, we'll transfer you to catch a bus for the five-hour journey to Siem Reap. Once there, we'll ensure you reach the hotel to relax. In the afternoon, we’ll explore Artisan D’Angkor, a centre dedicated to preserving traditional wood and stone carving techniques while providing employment for locals.

Following this, we'll visit Wat Thmey. This site, also known as the Killing Field, features a distinctive glass-walled stupa housing the bones of Khmer Rouge victims, offering a poignant glimpse into the country's history.

  • Day 4

    Explore Siem Reap

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide in the lobby. This morning, we will venture out of town to visit Banteay Srei. Renowned for its intricate carvings, this elegant temple is often regarded as the pinnacle of Angkorian art. On our way, we'll pause at Preah Dark village to explore Banteay Samre Temple, notable for its impressive reliefs depicting scenes from the stories of Vishnu and Krishna.

In the afternoon, we'll explore Angkor Wat, the world's largest temple complex. Covering 200 hectares and enclosed by a moat and a grand outer wall, this iconic site invites you to wander through its columned galleries and admire the exquisite carvings that illustrate Hindu legends.

We will return to Siem Reap for an overnight stay.

  • Day 5

Discover Angkor Thom & Ta Prohm

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, then join our guide in the lobby for today's exploration. We will visit Angkor Thom, starting at its impressive South Gate. Discover the Bayon Temple next, a stunning 12th-13th century monument featuring 54 towers, constructed under King Jayavarman VII.

Our journey continues to the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King, each offering a glimpse into Cambodia's storied past. We will also explore Preah Khan, another of King Jayavarman VII's creations, dedicated to his father. This expansive complex formerly served as a Buddhist monastery and school, home to over 1,000 monks.

In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to visit Ta Prohm, where colossal fig trees entwine with the temple's stonework, symbolising nature's reclaim of human endeavours. Conclude the day by watching a breathtaking sunset from Bakheng Hill.

  • Day 6

    Farewell Siem Reap

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before we set off to explore the fascinating floating villages with a private boat tour on Tonle Sap Lake—the largest permanent freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. This extraordinary body of water connects with the Tonle Sap River, eventually joining the Mekong River in Phnom Penh.

As we navigate the lake, you'll observe the unique lifestyle of a fishermen's village on water, featuring floating schools, a police station, and more. The entire community adapts to the changing water levels by moving across the lake.

After the tour, we'll transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. The trip concludes here.
