Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Saigon

Welcome to Saigon – Vietnam’s dynamic southern capital. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, make your own way to the city centre and check in at your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax and recover from your flight.

  • Day 2

City landmarks and the Cu Chi tunnels

After breakfast, begin your discovery of Ho Chi Minh City’s fascinating past and vibrant present. Visit the historic Reunification Palace, a defining landmark marking the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Continue to the elegant Central Post Office and the French-built Notre Dame Cathedral, two fine examples of colonial architecture.

Next, explore the War Remnants Museum for a poignant insight into the country’s wartime experiences. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels – an extraordinary underground network used by Vietnamese guerrillas during the war. Step inside the tunnels to see the narrow passageways, concealed entrances, and living quarters that reveal the remarkable ingenuity of those who built and used them. Return to Saigon in the evening.

Visit Tortoise Islet for lunch amidst the peaceful surroundings of a fruit garden. Later, continue to An Khanh in Ben Tre to experience rural delta life. Glide through shaded canals in a hand-rowed sampan, taste tropical fruits and honey tea, and enjoy live folk music performed by local artists.
