Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Hanoi
Your Vietnam journey commences in Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your private driver, who will be waiting with a sign displaying your name. They will guide you to your centrally located accommodation, nestled in the vibrant heart of the city, just steps away from the intriguing Old Quarter. Feel free to explore the city at your leisure or unwind at the hotel after your flight.
Day 2
Hanoi City Tour
We will collect you from your hotel and begin our exploration of Hanoi.
Our first stop is Tran Quoc Pagoda, situated on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. As the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, dating back to the 6th century, it offers a glimpse into the city's ancient spiritual practices.
We visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can view the embalmed body of Vietnam's revered leader, known affectionately as Uncle Ho. Explore the surrounding gardens and the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. We then head to the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, known for its unique design.
Please dress modestly, covering from shoulders to knees, when visiting the Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. Note that the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and for maintenance from 15th June to 15th August. However, you can still photograph the Mausoleum and explore the area.
We explore the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, providing insight into the culture of the 54 ethnic groups across Vietnam. Special Note: On Mondays, we will visit the Vietnamese Women’s Museum instead, as the Ethnology Museum is closed.
Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at our selected restaurant, with vegetarian options available.
We proceed to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, established in 1070. This historical site remains one of northern Vietnam's most captivating attractions.
Next, we visit Hoa Lo Prison, constructed by the French between 1886 and 1901, during Vietnam's time as part of French Indochina. Now a museum, it offers a poignant insight into the Vietnamese struggle for independence, once labeled "A Hell on Earth."
Our bus will return you to your hotel, marking the end of our day's adventure.
Day 3
Journey to Sapa
Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel before checking out and boarding the limousine bus to Sapa, a journey of approximately six hours. Upon arrival, we will take you to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Sapa, a delightful town nestled amidst the mountains.
Day 4
Trekking Through the Sapa Valleys
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide at 9:30 am. We will embark on a 12 km trek, exploring the villages of Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai, home to the Hmong people. As we walk, admire the stunning rice terraces and mountain vistas.
We'll pause for lunch with a local family in Lao Chai, or alternatively, at a riverside café. After lunch, our journey continues to Ta Van village, inhabited by the Dzay community, where we will spend the night in a local homestay. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant daily life, traditions, and customs of the villagers.
For the trek, please bring a small bag with clothing and essentials. You can leave your main luggage at the hotel in Sapa with the receptionist. We will return to the hotel the following day to collect your belongings before heading back to Hanoi.
Day 5
Continue Trekking & Return to Hanoi
Begin your day with a local breakfast at the homestay before our trek begins at 9:30 a.m. We will hike approximately 8 km, visiting Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan villages, home to the Red Dzao and Hmong minorities.
During the trek, you will also see a picturesque waterfall and cross a rattan bridge. Enjoy stunning views of the valley and walk through a serene bamboo forest en route to the main road, where a bus will be waiting to take us to Sapa. Once there, spend some time exploring the town at your leisure. Our journey back to Hanoi departs around 15:00 by limousine bus.
Day 6
Travel to Halong Bay
Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its natural beauty—a sight you'll appreciate as soon as you arrive. Prepare to be captivated by stunning panoramas and enjoy a serene cruise complete with engaging activities.
After breakfast, we’ll check out from our hotel in Hanoi and head to Halong Bay. Our cruise team will meet us in the hotel lobby. We will reach the jetty around noon and board a boat to the cruise. Once on board, enjoy a warm welcome and check in, followed by lunch as we set sail among the hundreds of magnificent islets.
In the afternoon, take part in various activities offered by each cruise or simply unwind on board. As the day concludes, our vessel will anchor at a picturesque location—be sure to watch the sunset before we enjoy dinner together.
We will spend the night on the cruise. Please note: In case of adverse weather conditions, the itinerary may be altered or cancelled if boats are not permitted to leave the port. Your travel consultant will arrange alternative plans if necessary.
Day 7
Transfer Back to Hanoi
Start your day with a stunning sunrise view over the bay, accompanied by a light breakfast. We will then participate in a guided morning sightseeing tour arranged by the cruise team.
Enjoy an early lunch as the cruise ship sails towards the port for disembarkation. You will be transferred back to Hanoi, where the rest of the day is yours to explore the vibrant city at your own pace.
Day 8
