  • What are the visa and entry requirements for Vietnam and Cambodia?

All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity). For Vietnam, visas need to be arranged ahead of time (minimum 2 weeks processing). For Cambodia, visas can be obtained in advance or upon arrival for approximately $30 USD, with at least 2 passport photos required. An e-Arrival form for Cambodia should be completed online before arrival for air travel. Always check with your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information.
  • What is the maximum group size for this tour?

The maximum group size is 16 travellers.
  • Is tipping customary in Vietnam and Cambodia?

Yes, it is customary in Asia to tip service providers such as waiters, at approximately 10%. For local guides and drivers, recommendations range from $1.5-$3.5 USD per person per day. Tipping your CEO (Chief Experience Officer) is also appreciated, with a guideline of $20-25 USD per person per week.
  • What currencies will I use and what are the best ways to carry money?

During this tour you will use the US Dollar, Cambodian Riel, and Vietnamese Dong. The best way to carry money is with debit cards for ATM withdrawals, but USD cash is recommended for emergencies or when ATMs are not accessible. It's a great idea to travel with both a Visa and Mastercard. Please ensure US Dollar notes are new and in good condition.
  • What is the recommended dress code to respect local customs?

In Asia, dress standards are more conservative. It's recommended to pack loose, lightweight, long clothing suitable for hot and humid climates. When visiting temples, mosques, or other holy sites, please dress respectfully and avoid very short shorts/skirts and singlets/tank tops.

All tour operator group trips are accompanied by one of our Chief Experience Officers (CEO). The CEO will provide information, offer suggestions, recommend local eating venues, and introduce you to local friends. Local guides are also used where specific knowledge adds to the enjoyment of the places visited.
  • Is there an extra cost for solo travellers?

No, single travellers on group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip, so there is no single supplement.
  • Are there any health considerations for this trip?

Inoculations may be required for the countries visited. It is your responsibility to consult with your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information well before departure. We recommend carrying a First Aid kit and hand sanitizers/antibacterial wipes, as well as any personal medical requirements. Our leaders are prohibited from administering any drugs.
  • What are the safety and security considerations for this trip?

It is strongly recommended to use a neck wallet or money belt for safe keeping of your passport, tickets, cash, and other valuable items. Leave valuable jewelry at home. Many hotels have safety deposit boxes. Petty theft, especially bag snatching by motorcyclists, can be an issue in some Vietnamese towns and cities; always leave valuables and passports in your hotel safe and carry only enough cash for the day. Bags should be carried over the neck. When exploring in free time, use your good judgment, stay in small groups at night, and take taxis.
