Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Venice
Upon arrival in Venice, check in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Take a stroll through the narrow streets, relax by the canals, or explore local markets and peaceful gardens to soak in the city’s atmosphere.
Day 2
Venetian Street Food & Wine Tour
This morning, you’ll dive into Venice’s food scene with a tour through its small bars. Meet your guide in the Cannaregio district and soak in the local atmosphere during the Venetian aperitivo hour. You’ll join other travellers to visit five different traditional Venetian wine bars known as "bacari" along the Cannaregio canal, where you’ll taste Venetian wines and sample "cicchetti," the region's traditional snacks.
At each stop, you’ll enjoy a drink of wine or cocktail paired with local delicacies, like meatballs, fresh fish, fried foods, and regional breads with various toppings. Your guide will share insights into Venice’s food culture and make sure you visit the best spots for an authentic experience.
You’ll finish the tour with a Spritz and more cicchetti, all while experiencing the true flavours and traditions of Venice during aperitivo hour. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3
Tour of Murano & Burano Island
Venice - Murano - Burano - Venice. After breakfast, you’ll depart from the San Marco Area and set off on a private boat ride with your expert local guide to explore the lagoon. You’ll cruise past the islands of Lido, Certosa, Vignole, and Sant’Erasmo before arriving in Murano.
In Murano, famous for its glassmaking since the 12th century, you’ll visit a renowned glass studio and watch a live glassblowing demonstration. Afterward, you’ll have some free time for shopping before taking a leisurely 15-minute walk to the 7th-century Cathedral of Saints Maria e Donato. Inside, you’ll see stunning mosaics and experience a rare example of Romanesque architecture.
Next, you’ll board the boat for a 30-minute ride to Burano, a charming island known for its lace-making tradition. You’ll visit a lace workshop to learn about the craft and then stroll through the island’s colourful streets with your guide. You’ll have some free time for shopping or a quick lunch before heading back to Venice, where the crew will offer you a glass of wine to toast your island adventure. The total duration of today's tour is approximately 5 hours.
Day 4
Depart from Venice
Today, after your final breakfast, depending on your departure flight time, you may have time for last-minute shopping, further exploration, a coffee at a café, or simply relaxing before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
