Itinerary
Day 1
Vancouver to Victoria
Vancouver - Victoria. Upon arrival in Vancouver, make your way to Canada Place, located in Downtown Vancouver, 15 minutes before the designated departure time. (These details will be provided with your travel documents.) We will then make our way by coach to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, where we’ll take a scenic ferry ride to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island, sailing through the Salish Sea and Gulf Islands—keep an eye out for marine wildlife!
We will then disembark in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, and begin a city tour to admire Mile 0, Ogden Point, the Empress Hotel, and the famous Fan Tan Alley in historic Chinatown. Afterwards, we’ll visit a local brewery to sample a selection of beers before heading to our hotel for check-in. You will then have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore or relax; your guide will be able to give you recommendations on the best restaurants, top breweries, and shops.
Meeting Point: For this tour, our meeting point is from downtown Vancouver from Canada Place. Please arrive 15 minutes before the designated time.
Day 2
Explore Nature, Totems, & Beachfront Relaxation
Victoria - Goldstream Provincial Park - Duncan - Parksville. This morning, you’ll receive BC Ale Trail brewery vouchers, which can be used near each hotel on the tour. You will have free time to further explore Victoria at your own pace, or you can choose to opt to visit the Royal BC Museum or join a whale watching experience.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit Goldstream Provincial Park for a refreshing walk through towering ancient forests, where we will follow lush trails and take in the beauty of picturesque waterfalls. Afterwards, we’ll stop in Duncan to explore the City of Totems, home to the world’s largest outdoor collection of First Nations totem poles.
We will then make our way to Parksville, where we will check into our accommodation. After, you will have free time to explore Parksville and the surrounding beach boardwalks, relax, or you can opt to join a visit to the Little Mountain Lookout for spectacular views. During this time, you will also be able to enjoy a complimentary round of mini golf at Paradise Fun Park located across the street from our accommodation
Day 3
Waterfalls, Coastal Hike & Beachside Campfire
Parksville - Ucluelet. Today, we travel to the West Coast of the island, where we will stop at the Coombs Market. Here, you will have free time to enjoy breakfast, keep an eye out for the goats, which stay on the rooftop.
Afterwards, we’ll begin our journey to Ucluelet, making a stop at Little Qualicum Falls. We’ll admire the stunning sight of the falls cascading over rugged rocks into a peaceful pool, all set amidst lush forest.
Once we arrive in Ucluelet, we will hike the Lighthouse Loop on the Wild Pacific Trail, a scenic coastal path offering dramatic ocean views and rugged shoreline. Later, we will make our way to the accommodation for check in, after which you can choose to relax or join your group for a campfire & s'mores on the beach (weather dependent).
Day 4
Day at Leisure in Tofino & Ucluelet
Ucluelet - Tofino - Ucluelet. This morning, we’ll get an early start with a short drive to Tofino. Here, you’ll have a full day at leisure to enjoy the pristine beaches of this relaxed coastal surfing town.
Alternatively, you may choose to take part in optional activities such as whale watching, bear watching, surfing, or kayaking (additional fees apply). You also have the option to join your guide for a scenic walk to Tonquin Beach, just a short distance from downtown Tofino, or rent a bike and ride to the popular Tacofino food truck for a delicious lunch.
Later we will make our way back to Ucluelent, where you will have the rest of the day at leisure to relax.
Day 5
Ucluelet to Vancouver
Ucluelet - Nanaimo - Vancouver. Today, we’ll begin our journey back to Vancouver, stopping at Long Beach—an expansive stretch of sandy shoreline, the largest in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. After, we will continue our journey with a stop at Port Alberni, where you will have a chance to enjoy lunch before travelling to Nanaimo.
Once we have arrived in Nanaimo, we will explore the waterfront. while we are here, you will have a chance to try one of the Nanaimo bars, great for sweet lovers. After we will make our way for check in for our ferry back to Vancouver. Our tour will conclude in Downtown Vancouver at approximately 9 PM. Safe travels!
