Summary
No matter where you travel in Cambodia, the past is always present. History, both ancient and modern, is everywhere here; whether you’re strolling in the shadows of the mighty Angkor Wat, wandering the streets of cosmopolitan Phnom Penh, or exploring the Irrawaddy in search of river dolphins, you can’t escape the pull of time that shaped, and continues to shape, this arresting land.

Follow a local guide and witness the dark side of Cambodian history with visits to Choeung Ek, the site of the infamous Killing Fields, and Tuol Sleng, the notorious Khmer Rouge prison where thousands of Cambodians perished.
In the afternoon enjoy free time to explore the city's many sights: the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, Russian market or Wat Phnom.

Day 5
Siem Reap

Customer reviews & ratings
Incredible once in a lifetime trip with so many stories and experiences to last a lifetime! Everything is easy and planned for you to make the most out of your holiday.
Louise Nov, 2025 VerifiedThe Ultimate Cambodia Tour was an experience of a life time. Thanks to G Adventures and CEO Ratha, I was able to meet with local Cambodian people and get to learn and experience the Cambodian culture. Through this tour, I was able to see the Cambodia that I was looking for, which I would have never been able to see on my own. I found this Ultimate Cambodia G Adventures tour to be well organized, exciting and safe. At the same time, it provides a true picture of what it's like or would be like for the locals to live in Cambodia.
