Turkey Women-Only Adventure - 10 Days

Welcome to Turkey. We transfer you to your hotel according to your flight time, and you have the rest of the day free until we gather for a Welcome Circle dinner at a restaurant specialising in Ottoman Palace cuisine – featuring recipes favoured by the Valide Sultans, the Queen Mothers.

We delve into the Topkapi Palace Harem on a specialised tour, focusing on the Sultanate of Women – the era when powerful women influenced imperial politics. We also visit a local weaving atelier in Sultanahmet where women are revitalising traditional silk and cotton looming.

We transfer you to Istanbul Airport for a morning flight to Cappadocia. After arrival, we set out on an afternoon walk through the Red Valley, then visit a local family home for traditional tea and a conversation about rural life and female education initiatives in the region.

We visit a women’s cooperative in Avanos or Ürgüp, joining a cooking workshop to make mantı or gözleme – directly supporting local women’s financial independence. We then call in at a female–owned pottery studio to see how modern women are entering the traditionally male–dominated world of Hittite–inspired ceramic art.

We transfer you to the airport in Cappadocia for your flight to Izmir. On arrival, we take you to your hotel to rest, and you can explore Kuşadası at your own pace.

We explore Ephesus, highlighting the Temple of Artemis – one of the Seven Wonders – and the Cult of the Great Mother. We continue to Sirince Village to meet local women who produce fruit wines and handcrafted lace (oya), and we visit a social enterprise shop where proceeds support the village’s female artisans.

We visit the dazzling white terraces of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis and take a dip in the Antique Cleopatra Pool – long celebrated for beauty and healing. We then continue to the coastal charm of Bodrum.

We visit the Bodrum Maritime Museum to hear stories of the Aegean’s female divers and sponge hunters. In the afternoon, we head to a female–owned boutique winery in the Bodrum hills for a tasting and a talk on women in Turkish viticulture.

You can relax at the hotel or explore the marina. If you wish, you may opt for a private gulet cruise – a traditional wooden boat – with a female crew or captain, creating a safe and serene setting for swimming and unwinding.

We transfer you to Bodrum Airport – your tour concludes on arrival.
