Turkey After - Dark Ruins & Museums - Private - 8 Days

Welcome to Turkey – on arrival at Istanbul Airport we meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest or explore at your own pace.

You have the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, embark on a guided half–day tour to the opulent Topkapi Palace – including access to its Harem – descend into the mysterious Basilica Cistern, and stroll through the vibrant Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays). In the evening, you experience the Hagia Sophia History and Experience Museum after dark, when its spiritual ambience feels even more enchanting.

Please note: Topkapı Palace is closed on Tuesdays. You will visit Dolmabahçe Palace instead, another stunning Ottoman landmark known for its European-style architecture and grand interiors.

You fly from Istanbul to Denizli in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel near Pamukkale – in the evening, visit the ancient city of Hierapolis for a night–time exploration among softly lit ruins, from Roman baths and necropolises to the iconic theatre.

Start the day walking the surreal white terraces of Pamukkale, formed by mineral–rich thermal waters. In the afternoon, transfer to Selçuk to visit the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be her final residence, and the nearby Basilica of St. John.

As night falls, you enjoy a guided tour through the illuminated ruins of the Ephesus Archaeological Site – marble streets, temples and the Library of Celsus glowing under the night sky.

Fly from Izmir to Kayseri and continue to your hotel in Cappadocia – the rest of the day is yours to relax, or you may choose an optional tour depending on flight timings to explore southern valleys, fairy chimneys and rock–cut churches.

Today, explore the highlights of North Cappadocia on a full–day tour. You descend into Kaymakli Underground City and roam the landscapes and cave dwellings of Göreme, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You also visit the Göreme Open–Air Museum, home to richly decorated rock–cut chapels including the celebrated Dark Church. In the evening, witness the spiritual Whirling Dervish Ceremony – a Sufi ritual symbolising the journey of the soul.

If you wish, you can start the day with an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia at sunrise (weather permitting). Later, you fly back to Istanbul – you have a free evening for last–minute shopping or sightseeing.
