Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Lima
Make your own way to your gateway airport for your international flight to Lima. Enjoy in-flight meals and services. On arrival in Lima, often called the City of Kings, make your own way to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to settle in or explore at your own pace. Lima is known for its Spanish Colonial heritage, excellent museums, and world-renowned culinary scene, celebrated as the gastronomic capital of the Americas.
Day 2
Flight to Cusco and City Highlights Tour
Lima - Cusco. After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our short flight to Cusco. Enjoy the spectacular views of the snow-capped Andes as we travel to the oldest continuously inhabited city in the hemisphere, set at 11,440 feet. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we begin an exclusive city tour at San Cristobal Plaza for panoramic views, before visiting San Pedro Market to learn about local produce and daily life. We continue to the Korikancha Temple, once lined in gold, and then to the Santo Domingo Church.
From the artisans’ quarter of San Blas, we walk to Hatun Rumiyoc Street to see the famed Twelve Angle Stone at the Inca Roca Palace. We finish at the Main Square, visiting the Cathedral with its remarkable colonial art.
Day 3
Guided Visit to Machu Picchu
Cusco -Machu Picchu - Cusco. This morning we transfer to Ollantaytambo Station for our train journey to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. On arrival in Aguas Calientes, we board the bus up the winding mountain road to Machu Picchu. The site reveals terraces, shrines, and urban precincts that showcase the engineering brilliance of the Incas.
We enjoy a guided visit before lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we return by train to Ollantaytambo and continue by road to Cusco.
Day 4
Cusco at Leisure
Enjoy two full days at leisure in Cusco, giving you ample time to explore the city at your own pace or book from a wide selection of optional full or half-day tours. These experiences range from cultural visits and gentle horseback rides to high-adrenaline adventures in the Sacred Valley and surrounding highlands.
Optional: Full Day Via Ferrata and Zip Line in the Sacred Valley Travel to Pachar for an adrenaline-filled adventure featuring a 300-metre Via Ferrata climb designed for beginners, followed by a descent on a fixed rope and an afternoon on six zip lines stretching over two kilometres.
Optional: Full Day Sacred Valley Tour with Lunch Visit Awanacancha to see alpacas and llamas, then explore the colourful Pisac Market. After lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo to discover its impressive Inca temple complex.
Optional: Half Day Andean Horseback Riding – Cusco Surrounds A scenic ride through Andean villages and farmland with views of ancient sites, ending near the Temple of the Moon.
Optional: Half Day Biking – Best Downhill in Cusco Head to the highlands above Cusco for a downhill biking adventure, with route options suited to your experience level.
Optional: Full Day Premium Sacred Valley Tour with Lunch Explore Chinchero, known for its traditional weaving and archaeological site, followed by Moray’s unique circular terraces. After lunch, visit Ollantaytambo, including notable structures such as the Temple of the Ten Windows and the Temple of the Sun.
Optional: Half Day Visit to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman Discover the important Inca sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
Optional: Full Day Chacan Rainbow Temple and Cusilluchayoc Hike Enjoy a rewarding hike that takes in Andean landscapes and visits to sites such as the Temple of the Rainbow and Cusilluchayoc Temple.
Optional: Full Day Rafting – Vilcanota, the Urubamba River Begin with a safety briefing in Piñipampa before rafting through scenic canyons featuring class 2–3 rapids.
Optional: Half Day Stand-Up Paddleboarding at Piuray Lake Learn paddling techniques on the calm waters of Piuray Lake, surrounded by beautiful Andean scenery and hosted by a welcoming local family.
Day 6
Cusco to Puno
Cusco - Puno. Today we transfer to the bus station for our journey to Puno, stopping at notable sites along this scenic route. We visit the church at Andahuaylillas before continuing to Racchi, home to the Temple of Wiracocha. After lunch at La Raya, the natural dividing line between Cusco and Puno, we continue to the Pucara Museum to learn about the region’s ancient cultures.
We arrive in Puno late afternoon and transfer to the hotel.
Day 7
Lake Titicaca
This morning we visit the Uros, known as the People of the Lake. Their floating islands, built from totora reeds, sustain a community that preserves ancient Aymara traditions. You will visit two islands to understand their lifestyle, craftsmanship, and connection to the lake.
The afternoon is at leisure, or you may choose from several optional tours.
Optional: Half Day Sillustani Pre-Inca Tombs Visit the atmospheric Sillustani complex, where towering funerary structures overlook Lake Umayo.
Optional: Half Day Taquile Island Tour with Lunch You may explore Taquile Island, renowned for its well-preserved Inca traditions and exceptional weaving. Lunch is included. If selecting this option, your visit to the Uros will take place separately from the main group.
Day 8
Puno to La Paz
After breakfast, we transfer to the bus stop to board the tourist bus to La Paz via Copacabana. On arrival in La Paz, we transfer to the hotel.
Optional: Half Day Tiwanaku Ruins You may visit Tiwanaku, one of the oldest civilisations in South America and located just 1.5 hours from La Paz. En route, stop briefly in Laja, where La Paz was originally founded in 1548. In the archaeological zone, visit the site museum, the Kalasasaya Temple, the subterranean temple with its carved stone heads, and the iconic Sun Gate. This experience is also available on a private basis.
Day 9
Exploring La Paz
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, we take a cable car journey, offering excellent views over the city, before continuing to the Moon Valley. This striking landscape, shaped by wind and erosion, lies close to the city. We then visit the southern residential districts, followed by the Killi Killi viewpoint for sweeping city views.
Next, we explore Plaza Murillo, home to the Government Palace, the Senate, and the Cathedral, before visiting the Indian and Witches markets, ideal for souvenirs and traditional crafts.
In the evening, we transfer to the bus station to board the overnight bus to Uyuni. Please note: hotel check-out in La Paz is at 12:00 PM. If you wish to keep your room until your evening departure, additional charges will apply.
Day 10
Uyuni Salt Flats Experience and Return to La Paz
On arrival in Uyuni, you are met at the bus terminal and transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast. Later, a 4x4 vehicle collects you for a full-day visit to the Great Salt Lake of Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world. En route, visit Colchani, a small community dedicated to salt processing.
Continue to Incahuasi Island, known for its enormous cacti and panoramic viewpoints. Enjoy a local lunch before returning to Uyuni by the same route.
You have free time to rest before boarding the overnight bus back to La Paz.
Day 11
Leisure Day in La Paz
Arrive in La Paz early this morning and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, or you may choose to join an optional full-day tour.
Optional: Full Day Coroico (Private Basis) You may travel by private transport across the high Andean plateau, reaching a peak of 4,700 metres before descending to Coroico at 1,750 metres. The journey showcases dramatic changes in landscape, from stark Andean terrain to the subtropical greenery of the Amazon foothills. After a visit to Coroico town and lunch in a local restaurant, you continue to nearby coca plantations and, if time allows, coffee and citrus farms. Return to La Paz in the late afternoon.
Day 12
Flight to Lima and City Discovery
In the morning, we transfer to El Alto International Airport for the flight back to Lima. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we explore Lima, beginning at the Love Park in Miraflores with views over the Pacific Ocean. We then continue to Huaca Pucllana, an important pre-Inca ceremonial site, before visiting the Main Square and its historic buildings, including the Cathedral.
We finish at the Santo Domingo Convent, where San Martin de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima once lived and worshipped. The evening is at leisure to enjoy the city independently.
Day 13
Departure from Lima
Today, make your own way to the airport for your flight home.
