Summary

Travel through Morocco’s imperial cities and Atlantic coast on this 9-day journey, starting and ending in Tangier. From the northern port, head to Fes to explore its ancient medina, Royal Palace and historic Jewish Quarter, soaking up the atmosphere of this UNESCO-listed city. Continue via Rabat to vibrant Marrakech, where you’ll wander through the Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fna Square and colourful souks. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace before travelling to cosmopolitan Casablanca to see the grand Hassan II Mosque. A well-paced tour blending culture, history and iconic Moroccan sights.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrive in Tangier

    On arrival at the airport in Tangier, we meet transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring at your own pace. Dinner is included depending on your arrival time.

  • Day 2

    Transfer to Fes

    After breakfast, we depart for Fes, travelling via Larache, once one of the capitals of the former Spanish Protectorate. On arrival in Fes, we check in at the hotel.

  • Day 3

    Explore Fes

    Following breakfast, we explore Fes, regarded as Morocco’s religious and spiritual heart. Founded in the 8th century by Idriss II, it is one of the country’s four imperial cities.

    Our guided tour, which involves several hours of walking, includes the exterior of the Royal Palace, the historic Jewish Quarter and the vast medina, entered through the famous Bab El Jeloud gate. Within its ancient walls lies a UNESCO World Heritage Site of narrow, winding streets, traditional workshops and bustling souks, where daily life continues much as it has for centuries.

  • Day 4

    Visit Rabat & Continue to Marrakech

    After breakfast, we travel to Rabat, Morocco’s diplomatic and administrative capital. Here we visit the city’s key landmarks, including the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret that remains one of the city’s most recognisable symbols.

    We then continue to Marrakech.

  • Day 5

    Marrakech City Tour

    Today we discover Marrakech, often called the "Pearl of the South".

    We begin at the Menara Gardens, set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains and surrounded by olive groves. We then see the exterior of the Koutoubia Minaret, whose design inspired Seville’s Giralda. In the old city, we visit the Bahia Palace, a 19th-century residence built to showcase the finest Moroccan craftsmanship.

    Our tour continues to Jemaa el-Fna Square, the lively heart of Marrakech and gateway to the souks. We stroll through traditional quarters where woodworkers, potters, leatherworkers and spice merchants practise their trades. Lunch is included at the hotel.

    The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore further. This evening, you may choose to attend an optional traditional dinner with Fantasia show under caidal tents.

  • Day 6

    Free Time to Explore Marrakech

    The day is at leisure. You may wish to explore the souks, relax at the hotel or discover more of the city at your own pace.

  • Day 7

    Explore Casablanca

    After breakfast, depart for Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. On arrival, we enjoy a panoramic tour, including the exterior of the Hassan II Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, as well as Boulevard de la Corniche and United Nations Square.

  • Day 8

    Tangier at Leisure

    After breakfast, we return to Tangier. On arrival, there is free time for you to relax or explore independently.

  • Day 9

    Goodbye Tangier

    After breakfast we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
