Dublin to Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle & Kinsale

Dublin - Rock of Cashel - Blarney Castle - Kinsale. Our five-day Ireland adventure begins in Dublin as we travel southwest to County Cork. En route, we pause at the Rock of Cashel, an impressive cluster of medieval ruins set on a limestone outcrop, with a round tower, chapel, and cathedral steeped in history.

On arrival in Cork, we visit the legendary Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone—said to bestow the gift of eloquence—before wandering through its enchanting gardens and discovering the curious Rock Close.

From here, we journey to the colourful harbour town of Kinsale. With its rich maritime past, winding lanes, art galleries and gourmet delights, Kinsale is a joy to explore. Our guide leads us on a walking tour through its historic streets, giving us a flavour of local life and stories. Tonight, we stay in Kinsale, where top-notch restaurants and waterside views make for a memorable evening.

Reaching Killarney National Park, we hop on bikes for a relaxed ride through this lush landscape, passing landmarks such as Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, and Muckross House. With a choice of trails, there’s something for everyone—and plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

In the afternoon, we head to the lively coastal town of Dingle, our home for the night. With its cosy pubs, welcoming locals, and a chance to catch some live traditional music, Dingle is full of character.

  • Day 3

    Dingle Kayaking or E-bike Tour

Awake to another extraordinary day along the Wild Atlantic Way as we uncover the highlights of Dingle and its dramatic coastal landscapes.

The morning opens with a truly memorable kayaking experience in Dingle Bay. Paddle across clear Atlantic waters, explore hidden sea caves, and admire the striking cliffs that frame the shoreline — an adventure that stands out as a favourite for many travellers.

After returning to our accommodation for time to refresh and enjoy lunch, we head out on the legendary Slea Head Drive, widely regarded as one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal journeys. Along the way, we visit the Famine Cottages and pet farm, ancient Beehive Huts, the sweeping beach at Coomeenoule, the steep descent to Dunquin Pier, and the Blasket Centre, offering insight into the remarkable island communities that once lived at Europe’s western edge.

We arrive back in Dingle in the early evening, leaving you free to wander its lively streets, settle into a traditional pub, or savour some of the town’s outstanding seafood. With a second night spent here, there’s no need to pack up — simply unwind and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this much-loved harbour town.

    Total driving time: 2 hours

  • Day 4

    Cliffs of Moher

Dingle - Cliffs of Moher - Doolin. We travel north, enjoying views across the Dingle Peninsula and pausing near Castlegregory before visiting a local sheep farm for a traditional sheepdog demonstration—an authentic glimpse into rural Irish life.

Next, we cross the River Shannon by ferry and arrive in County Clare. Here, we lace up our boots for a two-and-a-half-hour hike along the Cliffs of Moher, following a less-travelled path that rewards us with sweeping coastal views and wild Atlantic air.

We overnight in either Doolin, with its charming cottages and music-filled pubs.

Total driving time: 3 hours and 30 minutes

  • Day 5

    Galway & Return to Dublin

Doolin - Galway - Dublin. The journey continues with a morning excursion to Inis Oírr, the smallest and most intimate of the Aran Islands. Reached by a short ferry crossing from Doolin, this unspoilt island offers a glimpse into traditional Irish island life, with pale sandy beaches, patchwork stone walls, and a community where Irish remains the language of everyday conversation.

On arrival, you’ll have the freedom to explore by bicycle, discovering the island at your own rhythm. Pedal past the Plassey shipwreck, follow winding paths between ancient walls, visit the lighthouse, or simply pause to take in sweeping Atlantic views and the island’s peaceful charm. There’s time to enjoy lunch on Inis Oírr before we sail back to the mainland.

Arriving in Galway, the 'City of the Tribes', we set off on a walking tour through its vibrant lanes and historic buildings. This lively cultural hub is brimming with street performers, music, and colour. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore, savour local food, or catch an impromptu Irish dance performance.

Your tour ends back in Dublin, and we will drop you at the coach station in Galway and provide you with bus tickets for the unescorted direct journey from Galway to Dublin. You'll arrive back in Dublin between 17:00 - 19:00.

Please Note: Ferry crossings to the Aran Islands are weather dependent. If conditions make it unsafe to travel, your guide will arrange excellent alternative activities to ensure you still enjoy a fantastic day.

Total driving time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Drop Off Point: Galway Coach Station, Fairgreen Rd, Galway, H91 CX90 between 15:00 - 17:00.
