Southwest Canyons Explorer - 4 Days

We begin our journey travelling east through the desert, passing through the dramatic landscapes of Death Valley en route to Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world. Along the way, we stop for lunch at an outlet mall on the Nevada state line, where you can browse well-known brands such as Levi’s, Nike and Timberland.

In the evening, we explore the famous Las Vegas Strip, where we take in some of the city’s most iconic themed hotels, including Caesars Palace, the Mirage, Luxor and Paris. Later, you may choose to attend one of the many shows or try your luck in a casino.

We travel south-east through desert landscapes and into the Navajo Nation, arriving at the Grand Canyon - one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. We explore the South Rim, where we learn how the Colorado River carved this vast canyon over millions of years.

After lunch, we continue along the eastern edge of the canyon, stopping at local Native American markets where you can browse handmade arts and crafts. We then travel onwards to Page and the Lake Powell area for our overnight stay.

This morning, we visit Lower Antelope Canyon, known in Navajo tradition as the place where water runs through the rocks. We walk through the narrow sandstone passageways, shaped by wind and water into striking natural formations.

We then continue west to Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its unique rock formations known as hoodoos. We explore the park’s viewpoints and take in the ever-changing colours of the landscape, particularly at sunset - a highlight of the day. Afterwards, we travel to the town of Kanab for the night.

After breakfast, we head to Zion National Park. Named by early Mormon settlers, Zion was described as a place of spiritual significance due to its towering cliffs and peaceful surroundings. We explore the park and enjoy a short walk along the Virgin River.

Later, we depart Zion National Park and begin our return journey to Los Angeles, arriving in the late evening.
