  The tour includes 2 lunches and 1 dinner. Generally, other meals are not included to offer maximum flexibility in choosing your own dining options.

All transport between destinations and to/from included activities is also covered.

  Optional activities in Monteverde include a Butterfly Garden visit, El Trapiche Tour, Ziplining, Hanging Bridges, Santa Elena Cloud Forest Guided Tour, CASEM Coop Visit, and Horseback Riding. In Manuel Antonio, you can choose from a Catamaran Tour, Whitewater Rafting, or Kayaking in Manuel Antonio National Park.

  All group trips are accompanied by a CEO (Chief Experience Officer) throughout the tour, who provides information and suggestions.

  The maximum group size for this tour is 16 travelers, with an average group size of 14.

• Is there an extra cost for traveling solo?

  No, our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex. A 'My Own Room' option is available if you wish to purchase your own room.

• Are there any health considerations I should be aware of before traveling?

  Inoculations may be required, and it is your responsibility to consult with your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information well before departure. We recommend carrying a First Aid kit, and please note that leaders are prohibited from administering any type of drug.

• How much emergency money should I bring on this trip?

  It is recommended to have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund for unforeseen circumstances outside of our control.

  Yes, there is a Costa Rica airport exit tax of $29 USD.

  Credit cards and debit cards (especially Visa) are useful for cash advances, but their functionality is not guaranteed in Latin America. A combination of US dollars cash and cards is best. Please note that torn, heavily marked, or faded notes may be difficult to exchange, and denominations lower than 100USD are often preferred.

  Petty theft, bag snatching, and muggings have been on the rise in San José, so precautions should be taken. It's recommended to stay in small groups and use taxis for nighttime excursions. Water-based activities carry inherent risks, and swimming is always at your own risk.
