Day 4
Total Solar Eclipse in the Siwa Oasis
Monday, 2 August 2027. The day starts early, with sunrise over Siwa in all its peaceful beauty. We then return to the accommodation for breakfast and some time to prepare for the day ahead.
At around 10:30 am, we transfer to the designated eclipse viewing site in Siwa Oasis, a special setting for watching the total solar eclipse. Lunch is served at the viewing site, so we can stay comfortably in place throughout the event and enjoy the surrounding desert scenery.
Later, at around 5:30 pm, we set off on a desert safari through the landscapes around Siwa. Our first stop is El Wahed Well, where the unusual natural phenomenon of cold and hot springs side by side awaits. We relax in the tranquil surroundings as the sun sets across the desert, sipping traditional Siwan tea with some of Siwa's famous dates. Afterwards, we return to Siwa for dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the accommodation for the night.

Return to Cairo
Siwa Oasis - Cairo. After breakfast, we spend a half day exploring the natural beauty of Siwa, starting at Siwa Salt Lake with its turquoise waters and surrounding desert scenery. Lunch follows at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we begin the drive back to Cairo. If there wasn't time yesterday, we stop for a short desert experience at El Wahed Well to see the natural hot and cold springs, with traditional Siwan tea and dates as we take in the desert scenery.
