Summary
Journey from Seoul to Busan on this fast-paced 3-day group tour of South Korea. Departing the capital, take in the UNESCO-listed Tomb of King Muryeong and the Gongsanseong Fortress in Gongju, visit Buyeo and visit the UNESCO-listed Jeonju Hanok Village. Stop in Gwangju and Suncheon, see the Historic Site of Admiral Yi Sun-Sin's Path in Yeosu and visit Jinjuseong Fortress before arriving in coastal Busan.
Itinerary
Day 1
Seoul to Gonju, Buyeo & Jeonju
Seoul - Gonju - Buyeo - Jeonju. Meet our guide at 8am near Gwanghwamun Intersection (exact pick-up location will be provided before departure) before we depart Seoul for a 1.5-hour drive to Gongju. Here, we'll explore the UNESCO-listed Tomb of King Muryeong and Gongsanseong Fortress.
We continue 1.5 hours to Buyeo, a former Baekje capital. Here we visit the Nakhwaam Cliff Observatory. After another hour’s drive, we arrive in Jeonju - renowned for its traditional architecture, cuisine and cultural heritage. We’ll end the day at the UNESCO-listed Jeonju Hanok Village, home to 735 preserved hanok houses. Check in to our accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 2
Gwangju, Suncheon & Yeosu
Jeonju - Gwangju - Suncheon - Yeosu. After breakfast, we’ll drive about 1 hour and 20 minutes to Gwangju, the heart of the Honam region and birthplace of South Korea’s modern democracy movement. We’ll conclude our visit at the 18th National Cemetery.
We continue about an hour to Suncheon to visit the beautiful Suncheon Bay Garden (not included). Finally, we’ll arrive in the charming port city of Yeosu, where we’ll visit the Historic Site of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s Path before checking in for the night.
Day 3
Jinjuseong Fortress & Busan
Yeosu - Busan. Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before we visit Jinjuseong Fortress, a historic riverside stronghold tied to the Japanese invasion of 1592. From here, we’ll drive 1.5 hours to the coastal city of Busan, where the tour concludes at Busan Train Station around 13:00.
