• What kind of activities are included in the Sapa Adventure tour?

  The tour is packed with village-to-village treks, foodie experiences like a Sa Pa cooking demonstration, and hands-on activities such as a Traditional Wax Technique workshop at Hmong Batik House and a bamboo paper making experience in Nam Than Village. You will also visit local communities like the Red Dao in Sin Chai Village.

• What type of accommodation is provided during the Sapa Adventure?

  Accommodation includes 3 nights in a Guest House and 1 night on an overnight multishare train.

• What is the group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size is 16 travelers, with an average group size of 12.

• Are meals included in the tour price?

  Yes, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners are included in the tour.

• What is the physical rating of the tour?

  This tour has a physical rating of 3, indicating a moderate level of activity suitable for most fitness levels.

• Are international flights included in the tour price?

  No, international flights are generally not included in the price of your tour.

• What kind of transportation is used on this tour?

  Transportation will include private vehicles, walking for treks, and an overnight multishare sleeper train.

• Who will be leading the tour?

  The tour will be led by a Chief Experience Officer (CEO) throughout the trip, complemented by local guides for specific insights into the areas visited.

• What if I am traveling solo? Will I have to pay extra for a single room?

  Single travelers on group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. The overnight train journey is always multishare.

• Are there any health considerations I should be aware of before traveling?

  Inoculations may be required, and it's your responsibility to consult with your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information well before departure. It's recommended to carry a small first aid kit and hand sanitizers. Our leaders are prohibited from administering any type of drug.

• What is the recommended dress code to respect local customs during the tour?

  In Asia, the dress standard is more conservative. It's recommended to pack loose, lightweight, long clothing to stay cool. When visiting temples or other holy sites, please dress respectfully and avoid very short shorts/skirts and singlets/tank tops.

• Is tipping customary in Vietnam?

  Yes, tipping service providers like waiters at approximately 10% is customary. For drivers and local guides, a guideline of $1.5-$3.5 USD per person per day is suggested. Tipping your CEO $20-25 USD per person per week is also appreciated.

• Is travel insurance required for this trip?

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You must have medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue, and provide proof to your CEO.

• Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

  All countries require a valid passport with at least 6 months validity. If you require a visa for Vietnam, it needs to be arranged ahead of time (BEFORE your trip), as processing can take a minimum of 2 weeks and they are not available upon arrival. Vietnamese E-Visas can be applied for online.

• Are there laundry facilities available during the trip?

  Laundry facilities are offered by some of our hotels for a charge. There may be times when you will need to do your own laundry, so bringing non-polluting/biodegradable soap is suggested.

• Are there any optional activities available in Sa Pa?

  Yes, during your leisure time in Sa Pa Town on Day 4, you can opt to enjoy hot springs, get a massage, shop for souvenirs, or visit the famous Fansipan Peak.
