Continue to Coimbra for a taste of university life and riverside charm, then on to Fátima to visit its famed sanctuary. Conclude in Lisbon with a guided tour of the capital’s historic highlights.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Santiago de Compostela
Once you arrive in Santiago de Compostela, proceed to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure—consider exploring the historic old town, visiting the impressive cathedral, wandering charming streets, or enjoying a meal at a local café. Later, dinner will be included.
Please note: This tour is bi-lingual and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.

Day 2
Rias Bajas & Vigo
Santiago de Compostela - Rias Bajas - Vigo. After breakfast, we depart for the region of the Spanish Fjords, Rias Bajas, traveling through beautiful landscapes. we will make a short stop at La Toja Island before heading to O Grove, where you have the option to take a catamaran tour to visit oyster and mussel farms, including a tasting of mussels and Ribeiro wine.
After our journey continues to Vigo, where you will have some free time to explore on your own. You can also opt to join a optional excursion to Santa Tecla. Later, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night in Vigo.
Day 3
Viana do Castelo, Braga & Porto
Vigo - Viana do Castelo - Braga - Porto. This morning, we will cross the Portuguese border and arrive in Viana do Castelo, a city situated between the mouth of the Minho River and Porto. You will have free time to explore the old town, known for its cobblestone streets and impressive historical buildings.
Our journey continues to Braga, renowned as the city of archbishops and the third most populous city in Portugal. Here, you can enjoy some leisure time. We then depart for Porto, where we will be staying overnight.
Day 4
Porto City Tour & Wine Tasting
After breakfast, we will set out on a panoramic tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its rich history and striking architecture. During our tour, we will see the imposing Cathedral, the ornate Palácio da Bolsa which is the Stock Exchange building, and the charming St. Clara Church. Our experience concludes with a visit to a traditional wine cellar for a tasting of the city’s world-famous Port wine.
Day 5
Exploring Coimbra
Porto - Coimbra. Today, we depart for Coimbra, a historic city renowned for housing one of Europe’s oldest universities and for being the birthplace of Fado, Portugal’s soulful traditional music.
Upon arrival, we will have lunch, then you’ll have free time to explore the atmospheric old town, stroll through the university’s grand courtyards, visit local bookshops or museums, or simply relax at a café along the Mondego River.
Day 6
Exploring Fatima and Transfer to Lisbon
Coimbra - Fátima - Lisbon. This morning, after breakfast, we depart for Fátima, one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world, known for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917. Here, you can enjoy free time to visit the Sanctuary, including the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Basilica.
After, we travel to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, which is situated at the mouth of the Tagus River. Once we have arrived, we will check into our accommodation. In the evening, there is an optional night tour to experience Fado, traditional Portuguese music and songs.
Day 7
Lisbon City Tour
This morning, after breakfast, we set off on a panoramic sightseeing tour of Lisbon, beautifully located at the mouth of the Tagus River. We take in sweeping views from Edward VII Park’s hilltop viewpoint, pass through Rossio Square and the elegant Liberdade Avenue, and explore the Madragoa district, the birthplace of traditional Fado music.
Our tour continues to the Belém district to admire the famous Tower of Belém, the Monument to the Navigators, and the stunning Jerónimos Monastery. The afternoon is free to relax at your own pace, with the option to join an excursion to the charming towns of Sintra, Cascais, or Estoril.
Day 8
Depart from Lisbon
After your final breakfast, depending on your departure flight time, you might have some free time to do some last-minute shopping, exploring, or relaxing before making your way to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
