Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Santiago de Compostela

    Once you arrive in Santiago de Compostela, make your way to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or begin exploring at your own pace. You might take a stroll through the atmospheric old town, visit the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago, the final resting place of St James, or simply enjoy a coffee in one of the lively squares as you watch pilgrims arrive at the end of their journey.

    Please note: This tour is bilingual and will be conducted in Spanish as well as in English.

    Meeting point: HOTEL OCA PUERTA DEL CAMINO, C/ Miguel Ferro Caaveiro, s/n, 15703 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña at 7:30 am on day 2.

  • Day 2

    Exploring the Spanish Fjords & Vigo

    Santiago de Compostela - Rias Bajas - Vigo. Today, we will be picked up from Hotel Oca Puerta del Camino at 7:30 AM and begin our journey towards the beautiful region known as the Spanish Fjords, or Rías Bajas. We travel through splendid coastal landscapes, making a brief stop at La Toja Island, famous for its natural beauty and thermal springs.

    Our next stop is O Grove, where you can take an optional catamaran cruise to see the local oyster and mussel farms, with a tasting of fresh mussels and Ribeiro wine included. We then continue to Vigo, where you will have some free time to explore the city at your leisure or join an optional excursion to Santa Tecla.

  • Day 3

    Journey to Historic Leon

    Vigo - Leon. This morning, we depart from Vigo and journey inland to the historic city of Leon, in the heart of Castilla y León. Renowned for its rich artistic heritage, León offers much to explore. You’ll have free time to visit its magnificent Gothic cathedral or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the atmospheric old town. Later, we will enjoy dinner before relaxing at our accommodation.

  • Day 4

    Salamanca & Madrid

    Leon - Salamanca - Madrid. After breakfast, we depart for Salamanca, a city celebrated for its grand architecture and lively university atmosphere. During our brief stop, you’ll have free time to explore the historic old town and admire the magnificent Baroque-style Plaza Mayor. We then continue our journey to Madrid.

  • Day 5

    Córdoba & Onwards to Seville

    Madrid - Cordoba - Seville. We depart from Madrid, travelling through the picturesque landscapes of La Mancha on our way to Córdoba. On arrival, we enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the city’s renowned Mosque–Cathedral and the charming Jewish Quarter. We then continue to Seville, where dinner is included this evening.

  • Day 6

    Exploring Seville

    This morning, we set out on a city sightseeing tour of Seville, taking in the beautiful María Luisa Park and the impressive Plaza de España. We also see the exterior of the city’s magnificent Cathedral and its iconic bell tower, La Giralda, before continuing to the atmospheric Santa Cruz quarter, known for its narrow lanes and lively squares.

    In your free time, you may choose to take an optional cruise along the Guadalquivir River to enjoy panoramic views of the Gold Tower and Expo 92, or visit the historic Maestranza bullring.

    In the evening, you can choose to attend an optional flamenco show to experience the passion and rhythm of this famous Andalusian art form.

  • Day 7

    Granada and the Alhambra

    Seville - Granada.Today, we depart for Granada, a city rich in history and Moorish heritage. On arrival, we enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the magnificent Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the beautiful gardens of the Generalife, once the summer residence of the Nasrid kings. We end the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Granada.

    If you wish, you can take an optional excursion to the caves of Sacromonte to experience an authentic gypsy flamenco show.

    Please note: If tickets for the Alhambra and Generalife are unavailable, a city tour of Granada will be offered instead.

  • Day 8

    Granada to Valencia

    Granada - Valencia. After breakfast, we travel through the scenic landscapes of Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras on our way towards Spain’s Mediterranean coast, arriving in the lively city of Valencia. You will have the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Day 9

    Valencia to Barcelona

    Valencia - Barcelona. Today, you have some free time to enjoy Valencia at your own pace before we depart by mid-morning for Barcelona. On arrival, we check in to our accommodation, and the rest of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring the city.

    Please note: for logistical reasons, the sightseeing tour of Barcelona may take place upon arrival in the afternoon.

  • Day 10

    Exploring Barcelona

    This morning, we set out on a city sightseeing tour of Barcelona, visiting Montjuïc Park for its spectacular views, the Olympic Ring, the Monument to Columbus and the historic Gothic Quarter. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

    In the evening, you may wish to join an optional night tour to see Barcelona’s grand avenues, illuminated buildings and impressive fountains.

  • Day 11

    Departure from BArcelona.

    After our final breakfast, our tour comes to an end. Depending on your departure flight time, you might have some time for some last-minute shopping, exploring, or relaxation before making your way to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
