Itinerary
Day 1
Exploring San Francisco, Sausalito & Tomales Bay Kayaking
San Francisco - Sausalito - Inverness. We begin our journey in San Francisco, where you'll meet the group before walking across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Take in panoramic views of the Bay, the city skyline, and the storied island of Alcatraz, as the sea breeze sets the tone for the adventure ahead. We then head north to explore the waterside town of Sausalito, with time to stroll through its charming streets lined with galleries, boutiques, and cafés.
Our next stop is Heidrun Meadery, where you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of sparkling meads crafted from single-source honeys, followed by a thoughtfully prepared artisan lunch in the peaceful surroundings of their farm and gardens.
Later, we continue to Tomales Bay and check in to our resort in Inverness. Settle into this bayside retreat, tucked within Point Reyes National Seashore Park, and enjoy the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There's free time to head out to a local Inverness restaurant for dinner. Afterwards, we gather for a magical bioluminescent kayak tour - paddling beneath the stars as the water around us shimmers with natural light, a rare and mesmerising experience.
Day 2
Tomales Bay Hiking & Bodega Bay
Inverness - Tomales Bay State Park - Bodega Bay. Wake to the quiet charm of Inverness and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at a local café. This morning, we set out on a scenic hike through Tomales Bay State Park, where forested trails open onto rugged coastline and sweeping views of the bay. It’s a peaceful, refreshing start to the day immersed in nature.
In the afternoon, we visit Hog Island Oyster Co. for a laid-back charcuterie picnic and fresh oyster tasting, right on the edge of the bay. Known for its sustainably farmed oysters and stunning setting, this is a chance to experience the best of the region’s coastal flavours.
As the day draws on, we travel north to Bodega Bay. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of wine before settling into your hotel. You might choose to wander along the windswept beaches, take in the sea air, or relax by the pool. This evening is yours to discover Bodega Bay’s local restaurants and seaside charm at your own pace.
Day 3
Cycling, Vineyards & Redwoods
Bodega Bay - Guerneville. After a hearty breakfast, we set off on a scenic bike ride through the Russian River Valley. We follow quiet vineyard lanes and shaded redwood paths, stopping at two boutique wineries to sample small-batch vintages. At midday, we enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch among the vines before cycling on to Guerneville. Here, you’ll settle into a cosy cottage nestled among the redwoods for a two-night stay. In the evening, you have time to explore Guerneville’s laid-back dining scene at your leisure.
Our charming cottage accommodation is surrounded by redwoods and overlooks a garden lawn with a wood-burning firepit. The swimming pool is available from May to October, providing a refreshing way to start or end the day.
Day 4
Vineyards & Redwoods Continued
Start the morning with a relaxed breakfast surrounded by the peaceful redwoods. Later, we venture to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, where towering ancient trees create a tranquil, almost cathedral-like atmosphere along mossy trails. In the afternoon, visit Capo Creek Winery for a VIP Chef’s Table experience. Here, we’ll tour the vineyard, enjoy expertly paired wines, and savour a multi-course farm-to-table meal while taking in stunning views of the valley. After this indulgent afternoon, return to your cosy cottage to unwind and reflect on a day filled with natural beauty and exceptional flavours.
Day 5
Spa Break & San Francisco
Guerneville - Sonoma - San Francisco. After a leisurely breakfast, take time to relax at the luxurious Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, where you can soak in the healing geothermal mineral springs or indulge in a spa treatment for extra pampering.
Later, we head into Sonoma’s historic plaza for lunch and some free time to explore. Wander among boutique shops, shaded courtyards, and charming tasting rooms -perfect for picking up last-minute gifts or enjoying one final glass of local wine. By late afternoon, we return to San Francisco: you will be dropped off in the city at 16:00.
