Highlights

  • Explore Corfu's spectacular UNESCO listed old town! The Old Town of Corfu, on the Island of Corfu off the western coasts of Greece, is located in a strategic position at the entrance of the Adriatic Sea, and has its roots in the 8th century BC. The three forts of the town, designed by renowned Venetian engineers, were used for four centuries to defend the maritime trading interests of the Republic of Venice against the Ottoman Empire. In the course of time, the forts were repaired and partly rebuilt several times, more recently under British rule in the 19th century. The mainly neoclassical housing stock of the Old Town is partly from the Venetian period, partly of later construction, notably the 19th century. As a fortified Mediterranean port, Corfu’s urban and port ensemble is notable for its high level of integrity and authenticity.
  • Sail the azure Ionian seas, on one of our beautiful traditional-handcrafted gulets! The Ionian Sea is an elongated bay of the Mediterranean Sea. It is connected to the Adriatic Sea to the north, and is bounded by Southern Italy, including Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily, and the Salento peninsula to the west, southern Albania to the north, and the west coast of Greece, including the Peloponnese.
  • Explore the Ionian Islands! Swim in hidden coves and discover beautifully secluded beaches!

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Corfu

All our cruise check-in's, are on Saturday's at 17:00. The actual cruise departure is on Sunday morning between 09:00 and 10:30.

All our cruises disembark on the following Saturday, at 09:30.

With this in mind, we start our journey by meeting in Corfu’s Old Port, which is full of Greek tavernas, local product markets and plenty of antique shops.

Apart from that, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed “Old Town” offers a unique scenic experience, given its architecture and general structure which is quite unique!

After boarding, a lovely welcome dinner will be offered to you, which we will enjoy onboard while we the travellers and the crew, will get to know each other.

On Sunday morning, we plan our first swim stop and begin our cruise!

Note: In case we do not have any late arrival and all of our supposed guests are on board by 17:00, and if weather conditions allow it, we will most proabbly cruise towards Plataria for the night, instead of remaining at Corfu's Old port.

  • Day 2

    Sivota to Mourtos

The Ionian Sea will amaze you with its lush forests, green hills covered with olive groves, crystal clear waters and sparkling white beaches! You can find this descriptive scenery, hidden among the Sivota – Mourtos Islands, which are located south of Corfu’s mainland.

We arrive here, on the second day and while we are at this island complex, we need to visit its highlights, the blue lagoon and the famous Papanikolis cave! (optional)

Later into the day, don’t miss out on strolling through the traditional Marina village and before you leave, be sure to grab something to eat and drink from the numerous idyllic tavern-lined tavernas, which are located on the marina, above the shore!

  • Day 3

    Parga

Parga has been described as one of the most beautiful villages in Greece and undoubtingly, as the most beautiful in the Ionian Sea!

With its two crystal clear bays, each on both sides of the village, its famous Venetian castle, and its numerous bars and water sports facilities, Parga is a must-see for your summer holidays!

Grab your hats and sunglasses, put on plenty of sunscreen and prepare to create some forever-lasting Greek summer memories, at this beautiful, picturesque destination!

Note: Due to Parga’s undeveloped-port infrastructure, there is not plenty of available space, on the marina, which means, that in case the gullet does not manage to dock at the port, you will need to use a water taxi, to reach the shore. The cost for this is not included in the overall price package, but is typically only 3/4 Euros.

  • Day 4

    Antipaxos

The small island of Antipaxos is a true hidden gem and will be, a one-of-a-kind experience, for you!

While here, we fuel up with lunch, before stopping for some coastal relaxation, at some of the island’s most secluded and tranquil bays, which are home to the famous Greek beaches of Voutoumi and Vrika!

You will have the chance, to snorkel, in the turquoise waters and feel the pebbles under your feet!

Take a walk amongst the clifftop and visit one of the three main towns – Gaios, Loggos or Lakka.

Later in the night, we organise an optional dinner at a pop-up beachfront tavern, on a private beach off the public-main coast, and admire the sparkling night sky, from our gullet's deck!

  • Day 5

    Paxos - Gaios

Until recently, Paxos was best known for its excellent olive oil, which is rumored to be one of the world’s, best varieties!

Enjoy the lush green scenery of this tiny island, by renting a bicycle or a bike and head to any of its secluded coves to spend an idyllic summer afternoon, while sunbathing and swimming!

After returning to the city, enjoy some traditional local Greek seafood or even Meze, at one of the many local taverns, which are run by the local fishermen!

  • Day 6

    Lakka - Paxos

This part of Paxos Island is packed with secluded coves and sea caves. A true dream, for any sea explorer.

Lakka is home to a small but vibrant village with shallow waters, known as a diving hotspot for those who want to discover the Ionian Sea by exploring its underwater wonders!

With multiple bars and tavernas, off the coast, Lakka is the epitome of Greek charm.

Note: The vessel cannot dock at Lakka’s marina, so we dock at one of its stunning secluded private coves.

  • Day 7

    Corfu

We arrive at Corfu’s Old Port in the afternoon which means that we will have enough time to roam around its new and Old Town!

Head to the old Venetian fortress to see the city from up high or walk through the Old Town, admiring its gems, if of course, you have a couple of hours left!

While in the Old Town make some time to grab some Greek local souvenirs or visit its museums and churches for a last sightseeing!

We spend the night at the Marina of Corfu’s Old Town, where we enjoy an optional traditional dinner with the group, for our final farewell party! After that we head to the gulet, to enjoy our last night together on board, and on the next day, early in the morning, we sadly depart.

  • A fantastic cruise for our honeymoon made extra special by the effort the crew made to give us a special evening with a meal compliments of the company. Mohamed the chef cook amazing food in his tiny galley and gave me a great selection of gluten free options as I have coeliac disease. Thanks to captain Stelios Ahmed and Rodos too.

  • Just had a fantastic week on M/S Eros. Great company, fab atmosphere and awesome food. Captain Antoniadis Ioannis and his crew - Mido, Mahmoud and Rami were very welcoming and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Unfortunately the inclement weather meant we had to sail through a thunderstorm and come back to Corfu Town a day early, but the Captain made sure we got there safely.

Frequently asked questions

  • Are the islands we visit expensive?

In general, on Greek islands, you can find affordable food and drinks, everywhere! You can choose, between eating traditional Greek comfort food, like a Souvlaki, at a price of 3€, or sitting at a local tavern/restaurant, for a much proper meal, at a price of 8-15€ per person. Throughout, Greek Islands, drinks cost approximately, 6-12€
  • Are there any Vegeterian/Vegan food options onboard?

We do respect our passenger’s food preferences and requirements and that is why our Chefs, in case it is needed, will prepare optional dishes, as well. (vegetarian, lactose-free, pescatarian, vegan, etc.)
  • Do the gulets actually Sail?

All gulets, including ours, are hybrids, which means that although they do have a motor engine, they can run on wind energy as well. That said, operating a cruise solely on wind energy, is something quite unpredictable, thus, we prefer relying on, and scheduling each week, based on the gulet’s ability to use its motor engines!
