Northern Cyprus Island Escape - 4 Days

Ercan - Bafra. Once you have arrived in Ercan, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, giving you time to relax or begin exploring at your own pace.

Today, you are free to explore Northern Cyprus at your own pace. You might visit ancient castles that overlook the coastline, enjoy scenic drives through the countryside, or relax on pristine beaches. You can wander through charming harbour towns, try your luck in one of the lively casinos, and savour the region’s rich Mediterranean culture and cuisine.

This morning, you will have another day at leisure to enjoy Northern Cyprus as you wish. You may choose to spend time by the sea, explore nearby villages and cafés, or simply relax at your hotel and enjoy the facilities. It is an ideal opportunity to soak up the laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere and discover more of the island at your own pace.

Alternatively, you can opt to join a full day tour of Nicosia and Famagusta starting at 9:00. After breakfast, you will meet your guide in the hotel lobby and set off by comfortable air conditioned coach. Your first stop will be Nicosia, the capital of Northern Cyprus. Within the ancient walled city, you will visit key landmarks including the Selimiye Mosque, formerly St Sophia Cathedral, the Büyük Han, the Great Caravanserai, the Venetian Column and the Kyrenia Gate. You will also see the Green Line border crossing, where you can observe buildings affected by the division of the city and the presence of United Nations forces.

You will then continue to Famagusta, often described as an open air museum. Here, you can explore the Othello Tower, linked to Shakespeare’s play, the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, once St Nicolas Cathedral, and the ruins of the Venetian Palace. Free time will be available for you to enjoy lunch, sample Turkish coffee or browse for local souvenirs before you return to the hotel at approximately 16:00.

Bafra - Ercan. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ercan airport. This will mark the end of the tour. Safe Travels!
