Nile Adventure & Felucca Journey - 9 Days

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your Nile Adventure! Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be greeted by our local tour representative, who will assist with immigration and passport control. After collecting your luggage, we will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.

At the hotel, meet your expert Egyptologist tour guide, who will accompany the group throughout the journey. Should you arrive early, you have the option to explore Cairo at your leisure, relax by the hotel pool, or visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. There, you can marvel at Tutankhamun's complete tomb collection within an architecturally striking setting.

This morning, we will immerse ourselves in the wonders of ancient Egypt with a guided exploration of the iconic Giza Pyramid Complex. Accompanied by an Egyptologist, we'll visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the impressive Great Sphinx - the only remaining marvels of the ancient world.

Next, we'll head to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, an architectural milestone as the world's first pyramid, featuring six tombs stacked elegantly.

Please note, the included flight to Aswan is planned for either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on availability.

Cairo - Aswan. Today's destination is Aswan. We catch an early morning flight (included) and settle into our hotel, ready for the day's adventures by the Nile. We’ll start with a boat ride to Agilkia Island to explore Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and celebrated as one of Egypt's most beautiful temples. This evening, you might choose to join an optional excursion for a traditional dinner at a Nubian house.

Begin your day with breakfast before we board a traditional felucca to sail the Nile. Relax on the boat's shaded deck, equipped with comfortable mattresses, as you enjoy stunning views along this ancient river.

For those interested, you have the option to visit Abu Simbel, renowned for its colossal temples on the western bank of Lake Nasser. These are part of the Nubian Monuments UNESCO World Heritage Site and display magnificent relief carvings from the 13th century BC, dating back to the era of Pharaoh Ramesses II. We will conclude the day by spending the night aboard the felucca, a truly unique experience.

Aswan - Luxor. Start your day with a hearty breakfast aboard the felucca before we travel by coach to Luxor, where more of ancient Thebes' monumental wonders await. Our journey begins with the impressive Kom Ombo Temple, notable for its dual design and picturesque riverside setting.

We then proceed to Luxor's East Bank, starting with the expansive Karnak Temple Complex, a tribute to the Egyptian gods Amun, Mut, and Montu. Our exploration continues at the magnificent Temple of Luxor. Take a leisurely walk along the famous Avenue of Sphinxes, linking these historic sites.

After a day immersed in rich history, we'll relax at our hotel in Luxor for the night.

Luxor - Hurghada. Today, we will venture to the West Bank of the Nile. Our journey begins at the renowned Valley of the Kings, where you'll explore the burial sites of New Kingdom pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun.

Next, we will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahary, dedicated to Egypt's only female pharaoh. We complete our exploration at the Colossi of Memnon, the monumental remnants of Amenophis III’s temple. Afterwards, we will travel by private, air-conditioned coach to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast for a two-night stay at an all-inclusive resort.

Spend a leisurely day at the stunning Hurghada resort, located on Egypt's picturesque coast. You can relax by the expansive swimming pool or unwind on the sandy beaches, where all-inclusive food and drinks are available.

For those seeking adventure, Hurghada offers a range of water sports. You might choose to embark on a full-day snorkelling or scuba diving excursion to explore its renowned coral reefs, teeming with vibrant marine life such as the Red Sea Clownfish, Emperor Angelfish, Picasso Trigger Fish, and Moray Eels.

Hurghada - Cairo. After a leisurely morning, we will board our private coach back to Cairo. Upon arrival, we'll check into our hotel and have a chance to refresh before exploring Egypt's vibrant capital.

Our first stops are some of Cairo's most historic religious landmarks: the Hanging Church, renowned for its stunning architecture; the Church of Abu Serga, a site with significant Christian history; and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, noted for its elegant interior and rich Jewish heritage.

Next, we head to Khan El Khalili bazaar, a lively marketplace teeming with souvenir shops, cafés, and shisha bars. Here, you can savour excellent coffee and hunt for unique keepsakes.

After nine days immersed in Egypt's rich history and culture, our tour concludes with a final breakfast at your hotel in Cairo.
