Customer reviews & ratings
A lovely, all-encompassing tour of New Zealand's South Island that hit all major attractions, and was a well-balanced combination of fitness and outdoor activities, thrill-seeking, as well as exploring picturesque towns and rural areas. Perfect for a very active person who wants a lot of built-in hiking and biking, sometimes up to 20 kilometers at a time. The tour itself--including the itinerary, organization, and CEO--were amazing and the best-managed tour in which I've participated. I rated it a 9 out of 10 purely because some of the other tour members did not seem to be suited to an active tour, and it affected the mood/enjoyment of a lot of the activities. I would suggest a screening questionnaire before people book an active tour so they can self-assess whether it is really appropriate for them.
Kristin Feb, 2025 VerifiedOur trip to the South Island of New Zealand was amazing. James, our guide was phenomenal, his passion for his country, traveling and guiding was contagious. We had the right amount of planned activities with time for optional experiences, also enough free time to do our own thing. G Adventures seems to attract like minded travelers. It was fun getting to know and hang out with our fellow travelers of different ages and from across the world. I like the vibe of G Adventures. Well organized and planned. Also attracts like minded travelers.
