Day 1
Casablanca City Tour & Rabat Guided Visit
Prepare for an exciting journey through Morocco's breathtaking sights. We'll start in Casablanca, where you'll meet your tour leader and fellow travellers for a detailed briefing on our itinerary. Our adventure begins with a city tour of Casablanca—a city immortalised by the classic film and still retaining much of its vintage allure.
We then travel to Rabat, Morocco's capital, where a sightseeing tour will reveal its rich cultural and historical landmarks set against a stunning coastal backdrop. In the evening, savour a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, offering a delightful introduction to Moroccan cuisine and a chance to connect with your fellow travellers.
Day 2
Asilah Medina Tour & Explore Chefchaouen’s Blue Streets
Today's itinerary promises more unforgettable experiences. We'll begin our day in the charming coastal town of Asilah, known for its whitewashed buildings. We'll take a guided walk through its Medina, where you'll also enjoy stunning ocean views. Following this, we'll journey to Chefchaouen, Morocco's iconic "Blue Pearl".
Famous for its unique blue-painted buildings, Chefchaouen's colour is said to symbolise the sky, God, and heaven. A local guide will lead us on an informative tour, offering insights into the city's rich history and captivating beauty. The evening is yours to explore this enchanting city at your leisure.
Day 3
Travel to Fes & Guided Tour of the UNESCO-listed Medina
After breakfast, we set off for Fes, renowned as Morocco’s oldest city and one of its esteemed Imperial Cities. Fes proudly hosts the world’s oldest university and the Fes Medina, a vast and ancient pedestrian zone. On a guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site, we’ll explore key attractions like Seffarine Square, a medieval landmark, and the historic Nejjarine Fountain. At a local tannery, you'll witness traditional Moroccan craftsmanship and perhaps find some unique souvenirs.
Day 4
Free Day in Fes & Optional Volubilis and Winery Excursion
Today, you have a full day to explore Fes at your leisure. Known as Morocco's cultural capital, Fes offers a rich array of experiences. You may wish to wander through the bustling souks, discover the historic Fes Medina, or savour the diverse local cuisine.
For those interested in history, an optional excursion to the Volubilis Roman Ruins is available. This guided tour takes you to Morocco’s best-preserved archaeological site, offering a glimpse into ancient Roman life. Following the tour, enjoy a visit to a charming local winery where a delightful lunch and wine pairing await.
Day 5
Atlas Mountains Journey & Overnight Desert Camp in Merzouga
Prepare for an unforgettable Moroccan adventure as we journey to the desert. On our way to Merzouga, we'll stop in Ifrane, a picturesque town often called "Little Switzerland" due to its distinct Alpine-style architecture.
We'll then drive through the spectacular Atlas Mountains, passing through the lush Ziz Valley, home to one of Morocco’s largest palm groves. Upon reaching Erfoud, we continue to our desert camp accommodation for the evening.
In Merzouga, savour Medfouna, a traditional Berber-style "pizza," for dinner. As the evening unfolds, gather around a bonfire to enjoy traditional music beneath a starlit sky. After this remarkable night, retire to your comfortable tent, fully equipped with hot water, a toilet, and electricity.
Day 6
Sunrise in Merzouga, Todra Gorge Visit & Transfer to Ouarzazate
Begin your day with an unforgettable sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, we'll depart from Merzouga and set off towards Ouarzazate, a journey filled with remarkable sights.
En route, we'll stop at Todra Gorge, where you can stroll along the river and admire the dramatic limestone canyons and cliffs that loom above. We will also pause in Kalaat M'Gouna, renowned for its rose products—ideal for picking up souvenirs.
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, we'll check into the hotel before enjoying a group dinner together.
Day 7
Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou & Tizi n'Tichka Pass to Marrakesh
Discover the captivating city of Ouarzazate, renowned as a filming location for many popular movies, during an orientation tour. Join a guided visit of the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, where a local expert will reveal its fascinating history. Our journey continues to the stunning fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as a "Ksar," offering a glimpse into life as it was before the Sahara emerged. Enjoy an orientation tour to uncover the village's unique charm.
We will then board the coach for a scenic drive through the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, known for its winding roads and spectacular views, as we make our way to Marrakesh. Upon arrival in the evening, we will check into our hotel. Dinner is included tonight, so do not miss the opportunity to try tangia, a delicious meat stew that is a traditional favourite in Marrakesh.
Day 8
Marrakesh City Tour & Free Time in the Souks
Marrakesh, alongside Rabat and Fes, is recognised as an Imperial City, having historically served as a capital and playing a significant role in Morocco's past. This morning, we join a local guide to explore Marrakesh's highlights, including the bustling Jemaa el Fna Square, the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, and the vibrant souks teeming with colour and culture.
The afternoon is yours to delve deeper into these attractions or participate in an optional excursion where you can fully immerse yourself in Moroccan culture and cuisine. Discover the art of preparing local dishes such as harira and tagine, and enjoy sweet treats while listening to captivating stories about Morocco.
Day 9
Free Day in Marrakesh & Optional Gardens and Cultural Experiences
Today is a free day in the enchanting city of Marrakesh. To truly immerse yourself in its charm, consider joining the optional Marrakesh+ excursion. We'll visit the picturesque Majorelle Gardens and explore the Musée Berbère, rich in Berber culture and history. The tour also includes the Medersa Ben Youssef, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture.
Alternatively, you might choose to wander the city at your own pace. Don't miss the opportunity to browse Marrakesh's bustling bazaars for unique souvenirs.
In the evening, there's an optional dinner available featuring a distinctive meal, coupled with a captivating folklore show and performance at a Fantasia.
Day 10
Travel to Essaouira & Coastal Medina Exploration
This morning we bid farewell to Marrakesh and head towards the final destination of our tour. En route to Essaouira, we visit an Argan Oil cooperative to discover why this local product is highly prized worldwide. Upon arriving in Essaouira, a serene coastal town, we embark on an orientation tour of its fortified Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a glimpse into its rich history and architecture.
The remainder of the day is yours to relax, unwind, and embrace the laid-back atmosphere after the lively energy of Marrakesh. In the evening, you may opt for the Evening in Essaouira excursion, enjoying stunning seaside views and a delightful dinner of fresh fish.
Day 11
Return to Casablanca & Optional Farewell Dinner
Today, we bid farewell to Essaouira and journey back to Casablanca. We will arrive in the afternoon, leaving you time to explore some of the city's top attractions at your own pace. For your final evening, consider joining us for an optional farewell dinner featuring local specialities and a captivating belly dancing performance. It's the perfect opportunity to savour your final memories and reflect on the past 11 days with newfound friends.
Day 12
Departure from Casablanca
Enjoy a final breakfast with the group this morning as we conclude our memorable 12-day tour of Morocco.
