Summary

This short but oh-so sweet trip through Central Mexico captures some of the best parts of the country's culture, landscapes, and tasty culinary traditions. You’ll visit the massive pyramids at the ancient Aztec capital of Teotihuacán before travelling to Puebla, a city famous for its talavera pottery and beautiful architecture. Next, you’re heading to Oaxaca where you’ll cap off your trip with a seemingly endless variety of delicious food and cultural traditions, including a visit to an “alebrijes" workshop where you’ll see these brightly coloured art pieces synonymous to the region being brought to life. Muy bueno, indeed.

  • I gained a lot of knowledge and an interest in returning to this area, and appreciated the interaction with local families and trades people Initial inquiry and booking process was tedious and cumbersome and frustrating. I was not informed that most of the optional activities promoted on your website were not available

  • As a primarily solo traveler, I was a bit nervous about joining a group tour. However, I needn't have worried. Between the excellent group leader, the wonderful locations we visited, and the incredible people I had the opportunity to meet, I am a convert to group travel! G Adventures made the process of visiting a new and unfamiliar country easy. I had the chance to do so many things that I wouldn't have had access to as a solo traveler, and the fact that so much of my money stayed in the local area made me feel even better. This was my first time being with a travel group, and G Adventures exceeded my expectations. Even for a trip that had several "free exploration" days, it never really felt like I was being left to figure things out for myself. Our group leader shared a ton of knowledge and resources, places of interest, restaurants, etc. to help plan these days. It was a perfect mix of set activities and free time.
