At 48 miles long, Maui is celebrated for its golden beaches, lush mountains and year-round sunshine. This afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure - relax on the white sands of Ka’anapali Beach, swim in the warm Pacific, or choose to book an optional Hawaiian luau for a memorable introduction to the islands.

    Maui Island Tour

Today we explore Maui on an island tour, with lunch included. We begin with a visit to the tranquil Iao Valley, often shrouded in mist even when much of the island enjoys clear skies. Here, we see the striking Iao Needle - a sharp lava pinnacle rising 1,200 feet above the valley floor, and a site of great cultural significance in Hawaiian history.

Our journey also takes us through Haleakala National Park and its visitor centre, the upcountry charm of Makawao Town, and local favourites including Hali’imaile General Store and Pau Vodka Distillery. Along the way, we experience a blend of Maui’s natural beauty, heritage and flavours.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. You may wish to take an evening stroll along the Ka’anapali Beach Walk or relax beachside with a Mai Tai as the sun sets.

  • Day 3

    Maui to Hilo

Maui - Hilo. Today we take a short flight (included) to Hilo on the island of Hawaii. On arrival, you will make your own way by taxi to the iconic Castle Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on historic Banyan Drive, just a few minutes from the airport - taxi cost not included.

Taxis are readily available at the stand outside the terminal. If none are present, courtesy phones are located curbside in the arrivals area to arrange one.

  • Day 4

    Exploring Volcanoes National Park

Today we set out on a tour of Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. As this is an active volcanic region, the itinerary may be adjusted at short notice to ensure safety. We travel across the slopes of Kilauea - known in Hawaiian culture as the home of the volcano goddess Pele - and pass Ka Lae, the southernmost point of the United States.

Our adventure includes a drive through Hilo Town and visits to some of the island’s most striking natural sites. We see Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls, explore Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, and stop at the Kilauea Visitor Center where we enjoy a picnic-style lunch. Highlights within the park include Halemaumau Crater, the Uekahuna Kilauea Caldera overlook, the Nahuku Lava Tube and the Wahinekapu steam vents, offering a close-up view of the island’s powerful geothermal activity. We return to the hotel in the early evening.

  • Day 5

    Hilo to Kauai

Hilo - Kauai. Today you make your own way by taxi to the airport for your included flight to Kauai - taxi cost not included.

Known as the ‘Garden Isle’, Kauai is the oldest island in the Hawaiian chain and is celebrated for its lush tropical rainforest, which covers much of its landscape. It is also unique in Hawaiian history as the only island never conquered by King Kamehameha.

On arrival, we transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and take in Kauai’s natural beauty. You may wish to unwind on the beach or explore the surrounding area at your own pace.

For a memorable experience, you can choose to book a sunset cruise along the dramatic Na Pali Coast - either through the hotel or in advance of your travels. This rugged coastline, with its towering cliffs and secluded beaches, is accessible only by air or sea and has featured in several films, including King Kong.

  • Day 6

    Kauai at Leisure

Today is at leisure to enjoy your surroundings. Set within 25 acres of tropical gardens, the resort offers plenty of ways to spend your day. You may choose to join a complimentary beachfront sunrise yoga session, learn to play the ukulele, or simply relax by the pool. For a more indulgent experience, you can book a treatment at the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa or unwind later in the day with local food, drink specials and live music at Shutters Lounge.

  • Day 7

    Kauai Island Tour

Today we explore Kauai on a full-day island tour, taking in Waimea Canyon, the Wailua River and Fern Grotto. As we travel through the island, it becomes clear why Kauai is known as the ‘Garden Isle’, with its vibrant green landscapes and lush tropical scenery. Our day includes visits to Opaekaa Falls and a journey along the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto, a natural lava rock cave draped in hanging ferns.

We continue to Old Koloa Town, where you have time to purchase lunch at your own pace, before heading to the dramatic Waimea Canyon - often referred to as the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific’ for its vast scale and colourful layers. We also stop at the Kauai Coffee Company and the Spouting Horn, a natural blowhole where waves force water high into the air.

Kauai is a true paradise for nature lovers, with many of its most spectacular sights only accessible by air or sea. You may wish to book an optional snorkelling adventure or a sunset sail along the Na Pali Coast. Alternatively, you can spend time exploring the nearby Coconut Marketplace, with its selection of shops, restaurants and local activities.

  • Day 8

Kauai to Oahu & Waikiki, Honolulu

Kauai - Honolulu (Oahu). Today, transfer to the airport for a short included flight to Oahu, arriving in Honolulu.

Known as ‘The Gathering Place’, Oahu is the vibrant heart of Hawaii, blending rich history with modern city life. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel in world-famous Waikiki Beach. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure. You may wish to take an evening stroll along Waikiki Beach, soaking up the lively atmosphere as the sun sets over the Pacific.

  • Day 9

    Oahu Island Tour

Today we explore the island of Oahu on a full-day tour, discovering its diverse landscapes and cultural highlights. We begin with a drive past Diamond Head and along Kahala’s Gold Coast, known for its exclusive beachfront homes, before continuing to some of the island’s most scenic coastal spots, including Sandy Beach, Makapu’u Beach and the Halona Blowhole.

Our journey then takes us to the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout, offering sweeping views across the island, and to the peaceful Byodo-in Temple, a replica of a traditional Japanese temple set beneath the Ko‘olau Mountains. At Waimea Valley, we have the opportunity to enjoy a swim in a natural waterfall setting.

Along the North Shore, we pass Mokoli’i Island and visit the famous Sunset Beach and Waimea Beach, known for their powerful winter waves and laid-back surf culture.
