Summary

Get ready to live like a local on this off-season trip to the hilltop towns and vineyards of the Amalfi Coast. Explore the small towns and trails of this beautiful countryside while experiencing local customs and once-in-a-lifetime moments. Explore the ruins of Pompeii in the morning, hike the coastline of the Med by afternoon, and tuck into bed at your converted 17th-century monastery homebase at sundown. Since this trip takes place in the off season when it's just a bit cooler out, there are fewer people around the Amalfi Coast—meaning you'll have that much more paradise all to yourself.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Naples

Welcome to Naples, home to the best pizza of the world.

Join your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) after the welcome meeting for an optional group dinner to eat the dish Naples is famous for—pizza! Your CEO will lead you on a brief orientation walk after dinner.

  • Day 2

    Naples/Furore

After you've had time to settle into your room, the hosts will give you a tour of the property and tell you a bit about themselves and the agriturismo's history.

  • Day 3

    Furore

Visit the seaside town of Sorrento and enjoy an orientation walk before free time.

  • Day 4

    Positano/Furore

Today's hike is challenging, so if you feel like seeing the sights instead, opt to visit the Basilica di Sant'Antonino, Marina Grande, or Correale Museum.

  • Day 5

    Furore

Enjoy a free time to enjoy the property and its surroundings. Opt to indulge in a mozzarella-making and/or a limoncello making demonstration. In the evening, learn how to make pizza the Italian way.

  • Day 6

    Furore

Free day to explore the beautiful coast starting in Ravello and it's breathtaking panoramic views. Make your way down to Amalfi either by foot or hop on a local bus and enjoy the bustle of the town. Return to the agriturismo with your appetite ready for a delicious dinner.

  • Day 7

    Furore/Naples

If you opt to stay at the agriturismo in Furore until checkout time at 11am, we will gladly help you to arrange any onward transport at your own cost.

  • Local Living -Amalfi Coast is the best way to authentically experience southern Italy! The meals, mainly breakfast and dinner, at the countryside farm or agricultural house was delicious. As a vegetarian, I always had lots of options. We enjoyed our lunches at a wide variety of restaurants and cafes in towns we visited. If you are foodie, and want to dive into the most delicious Italian food, this trip is a MUST! The trip is well organized and excuted, providing suffient opportunity to explore the local towns on your own. I loved the balance between having organized activities and having free time to relax and decompress. Our trip was very organized and excuted from the moment we signed up until we departed.

The entire tour was amazingly beautiful and well thought through. We had a great time and felt our guide was perfect for us! He made sure we were prepared for the next day?s events and was so incredibly knowledgeable about the area and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with the whole group!
